Yeah. Wait there haven't been any dream things since that I've forgotten about, right?

Until there is any confirm on the matter, I'm just going to assume GF is trololololing.

Okay, I have never listened to The Decemberists, never even heard of them until this series, but their music is awesome.

Didn't somebody forever ago make a list of the bands used in the series and the songs that related to it? I remember something like that being posted. Perhaps we should find it and use it.

I need to check out Animal Collective too. Hrm.

Is the Decemberists list in the wiki?

If you do a search for them yeah, I dont think they have their own page, was looking through some of the things the search got, apparently damsel has one of the songs in her playlist as well "The Mariner's Revenge Song"

Oh, I see, disregard that. I can't read. Anyway, what's all this about a "Soundtrack" for EMH? I did notice a sort of theme for the music.

Most songs posted (such as AnCo, Decemberists, MoMo, Deerhunter, RHCP, Beatles) all have links to what is going on.

AnCo obviously more so, but Decemberists seem to have a larger and more underlying than the others, even though i love modest mouse so much lol.

TGF, you make me *frumple*. Wink

@re: dreams

Speaking of dreams, while I like their ability to foreshadow and illuminate internal mental state I think that we are well past the 'creepy dream' stage of EMH. It was creepy and good when it first happened, but now it would hardly register. With the Rake, Slendy and, hell, Zalgo for all I know, showing up all the time, nightmares would be, on the whole, an improvement. Very Happy

@re: EMH OST TLA

I like the Decemberists, I really do, but I think we may be reading too much into this. For instance, the "Why we fight" song doesn't smack of EMH to me at all. It's nice, and quite applicable to EMH, but it is written vaguely enough that, we a bit of mental effort, you can impose its meaning on just about anything. Not because the song is bad, per se, but because it relates to a general concept.

Thats what I thought about CC and Rake as well, but that ended up being more as well lol. I guess what im saying is that they have connected it pretty well and not too blatantly SO far, that there's no reason they wouldn't do the same for this song

Hahaha, well put. Still, it's not a matter of how creepy it would be, it's more of a chance at insight on their individual states at the moment, or, even their involvement points in some of the goings on.

These are very good points. I meant more of the dreams as a plot device rather than nightmare fuel. For instance, I always thought that the tree Evan and his granny were having tea under was the big tree from ADITL that has now shown up a second time. idk why, I had just assumed, I guess.
Sure the dreams would be nothing to the emh crew with all that stuff going on, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be useful. Especially if the kids are in fact the mining town 4, but it is buried subconciously (rather than the re-birth theory, though i suppose it could apply either way?), it would give us a venue to see soem of that stuff.
idk, i just think that dreams are a good writing device that shouldn't necessary be overlooked.

Ah. I didn't guess you meant that cause frankly I think they've got the writing of plot pretty well covered by themselves. XD
