There's an operator symbol scratched into the sidewalk outside my house. There's a pentagram right next to it, so I think someone was maybe trying to do multiple of those, but one of them definitely is just an X. and it gets so damn foggy around here....

I've gotten a bunch of my friends hooked on Marble Hornets. In fact, my facebook ussually has a Slender Man related post when a new video From MH, TT or EMH comes out. Now people are asking me what SM is, and if I believe in him.

The scary thing about Marble Hornets is that I now get a bit creeped out every time my minifridge turns on, because they used the fridge turning on as a noise in Entry #27. Neutral

This is gonna sound weird, and I know it. Sometimes, I have panic attacks when I'm alone at home, especially in the shower. Sometimes chanting something helps keep me from flipping out, and, for some reason, I started saying the lines from entry #####. Well, good news is, panic attack averted, bad news is I'm looking out my window all the time thinking I somehow conjured a certain masked nutbar.

^^ yep, crazy life is fun. Embarassed

I'm in a hotel room by myself right now, in a small town somewhere. I'm the only person in this entire wing of the hotel except across from my room. It's 2 o'clock in the morning and every now and then I hear a clanging noise from outside my window.

I'm kind of terrified right now ;_;

It's a nicer hotel than Jay's Amnesia Motel though, theres that Very Happy

EDIT//
First post after a while of lurkin' btw. Hi! If I post here again you'll know I didn't disappear in the night!

the other day m and my friends were walking home, it was pretty late, and we had just gone to the gas station to pick up some drinks. As we left one of my friends (all of us had seen Marble hornets) was standing over the sidewalk. He had a peice of chalk and was tittering. He had drawn the Operator symbol on the sidewalk, and we laughed walked away. About half way through the neighbor hood, the street lights started flipping on and off. (we have shitty lights and they do this all the time) we didn't think anything of it. Now, it was about 11 or 12, and most houses had the lights off, but one had the lights on, and was casting a shadow on the window. We didn't think anything of it, until we got close enough, and noticed that the man was tall, and was just standing there, looking out. We got freaked out and ran. It looked exactly like the operator symbol

Permit me for spazzing, but...

I got to meet Tim! I went to Alabama for a convention appearance this weekend past, and he actually queued up to talk to me! He said he'd seen my Concrete Giraffes spoof and enjoyed it, and I fanboyed at him a tad. It was pretty amazing. We all got a picture together, and I resisted the urge to ask him if he had his mask on him.

So awesome.

MarbleHornets has been a huge part of my life from the beginning. The first season was confusing, mainly because I was pretty stupid back then. I didn't fully understand the plot thus far, but it still intrigued me immensely. The idea of the Slender Man scared the everliving shit out of me, and I was devastated when Entry #26 hit. Of course, I had TribeTwelve to get into, but it wasn't ever the same as MarbleHornets.
Over the seven months of no MH, I began forgetting about it. The magic it had was gone.

But then, Entry #27 was uploaded. I nearly shit myself when I saw it pop up in my subscription box. I was so excited for #28, and I checked my sub box 20 times every day. The awesomeness of MarbleHornets had returned.

I have been watching it religiously since, but something has changed. None of it scares me. I don't feel as if an appearance of the Slender Man is a scary happening, in fact, I WANT it to happen. Masky as well. This didn't affect my love for the series, it ENHANCED it. I'm so into it now and wish I had the time and resource to do my own series. I even put myself into situations where I am the person being stalked by the Slender Man.
I used to do that, sure, but before I was scared. But now, I really DO wish he would show up.

And now, I have a great place to discuss this big part of my life with. I had /x/ before, but that's only a thread every day and the anonymity of it makes me feel like the people aren't my friends, just strangers. I may be new to this place, but I already feel as if you guys are all my bros. My starting the Entry #35 thread kinda helped that as well. Razz

Thanks,

HerpMyDerp

I know what you mean about the way your feelings about the series changed, too. I went the same route. Heck, I loved MH when I found it because it was the first time I've ever really enjoyed having the piss scared out of me by a series, the first time it's made me want to go back for more. Somewhere along the way, as I became more involved in trying to decipher what was going on, though, much of the fear has faded (though I still shrieked like a little girl when Masky returned this season, and only a little bit out of girlish glee!)... but that fear's been replaced by even greater fascination and excitement. Cripes, it's made me stay up half the night on a schoolnight waiting for even the vague promise of an entry, and nothing, I mean nothing else keeps me from getting my full night's sleep.

I know that feeling, too. The original unease that somehow crept up on me from the beginning of the series (from the original momentary jump scares to this deep seated nervousness to even go on to the next entry) has kind of left. On the other hand, when we're loading the newest entry to come out it seems to come rushing back. Terror! Anxiety! What-happens-next?!

Welcome to the forum, though! Very Happy It's a great place to wile away the time while we're waiting for a new entry. I've really enjoyed trying to figure out what the hell is going on with the series, with the help of everyone else who's been posting here, too.

Thanks a lot! And that paragraph only furthers what i think about MH. Every word of it. Especially Masky's appearances. Razz
