I was thinking along those lines when I first saw that tweet. But I have reservations about believing Hatshoe actually was posting in a thread there.

i was thinking more that it was hatshoe's response to the people on the chan's sort of spastic contrabassoony behavior. following your link was the first time i went there. it all seemed kind of silly. some of it was funny, but most of it was silly. i am sure i don't get all the jokes, (my internet-cultural literacy is sort of (waaay) behind the times).

i'm reading the wikipedia entry on walk ins right now. i've never heard of 'walk ins' before either. (see, i told you i'm waaay behind the times)

Yeah, I sent him something last Thursday about the solar flares. A couple of selectionary quotes from the day; nothing too offensive, who knows. My brother is HelioHeretropic, and we were, with another, sending him some messages some time before, (a few weeks ago). We weren't asking questions really. Just sending notes. If THAT is what made him say the twitter quote then he is quite right.

In any event, I do enjoy watching the players on this forum. You have so many interesting ideas. I promise to post if he ever sends me anything, or if I can add to the conversation, but like I said, I haven't really asked questions.

I'll go back to Lurking for now

So, when some other forum members sent HS coffee photos (and HS replied in kind) at the end of January/beginning of February, I just missed the boat. But, being the un-original copycat that I am, on February 2nd, I sent HS the attached photo with the e-mail text:

"My brother made French Roast. It's really good."

The message on the cup is my response to:

My first thought is "flight" is a key.
First sentence mentions high heels so "hoof"
Second mentions flight so "flight"
Third mentions movie theatre so either "hollywood" or "weird movie"

Could somehow also be finishing the sentence from source code on index.

I didn't think he would do a repeat of the "whatisthemistake.jpg" thing but this makes me think other wise.

I'm sure someone else would know better than I but I think the herder would be Boötes. There are some hits on google for Boötes and black holes

 		Okay...so I'm equally excited and confused.

So one is a comrade. And one is a herder. And one is a bean.
And one is a song.

So do you guys think there are four titles? Or do you think it's still three but one is both a comrade and a song, or both a herder and a song, or both a bean and a song? (That sounds really confusing.)

Because the only song I'm aware of him referencing is Rock Lobster and the title of that one is Reds.

So in this context, "reds" could mean russians (comrades) or it could mean red beans.

Jeebus.

I'm taking a little bit of comfort in that it took the o.g. players a while to work out the whole "thereisnoeincobain" thing. And if I'm remembering correctly, it made no sense until a couple of crucial emails....so I don't think we should get too frustrated yet.

 		As has been suggested, I think comrade means reds. I also think bean means French.

Another thought I had was reds = comrade, blues = song, greens = beans, but we've already used RGB to gain entrance into toartSPLATlive.com.

I think he may have misunderstood me and thought I was suggesting we communicate by tagging walls? I don't know. I just included the image as a meaningless extra, but whatever. The "they can only view in slices" thing is pretty intriguing. I know this doesn't seem like it has much to do with the comrade/herder/bean/song stuff, but it may come up later.

Haven't sent anything back yet. If anyone has any burning questions they want to ask without negating an email they've already sent, let me know and I'll ask for you cuz i'm at a loss as to where to even start with this newest puzzle.
