An END??? would an end ruin a series? So something was recently brought something attention. A slendy story that has the protagonist win is just not over yet. If the "hero" of the storie finds a way to kill or even beat slendy it would most likely result in a backlash from the fans. It seems that the only way to finish any series is one day to just stop. The idea that a real end is possable is kinda (to me) absurd. Lets say EMH finda a way to win. Would that ruin the series? would it be beter if they didnt?
what im sayin is if a good slendy blog or vlog came up with an ending that was not slendy wining would it be acceptable?
what do you think?

I don't see any possible way for there to be a happy ending. I always kinda figure that either the characters go insane, die, or keep making the series.

If you beleive in the core theory, if one vlog/blog ends happily with Slendy being defeated, then all of them have to, or something that has to make sense with every other series...
I call this, the Sl-ending Paradox!

I think in order to make an ending where they 'beat' Slendy it would have to be in a personal context, i.e they makee Slendy stop following them or escape him somehow without really defeating or killing him. That's the only 'happy' end I could foresee without fan backlash. Otherwise yeah it has to be death or insanity.

Really, if you want a 'good' ending in the Slender Man Mythos, you should just, escape. Not destroy or defeat him, just get away. For good.
If that means the person actually just drops the whole vlog or blog and only subtle, ARG-like hints are dropped about his or her current whereabouts, that would be best, but if there's a final "I'm finally free" video/post, that's fine too I think.
Otherwise, death or any other demise of the heroes would be the only other option I can see.
Slender Man doesn't die. Not yet in the Mythos, at least.

An ending is as good as the artist makes it. If the people making a Slendy-blog gave it a happy ending that was good... then it would be a good ending wouldn't it?
Stories are the property of the artist, even more so here in Slendy-verse than elsewhere, and that means they're only as good as the artist makes em. If an artist made an ending that could convince us it was believable in the story and was enjoyable, then it would be a good happy ending. It's all in the hands of the story teller.

Ugh.
First off, how can you ruin something that's, by definition, finished?
And second, I'll provisionally say no, a happy ending wouldn't be terrible. But it would depend on the style of the series and the way the characters are. I could see EverymanHYBRID having a "We broke the cycle and now we're free" ending, or even better, a "Now if there are no more interruptions, here's how you make a santa fe chicken salad" ending, but I can't see TribeTwelve ending any other way than with Noah dead or else becoming a slenderslave or something. It all depends on context, on character and tone.

Agreed. That would be amazing.

I completely agree with this. It all depends on how it is handled. If everymanHYBRID finished with everyone(ish) escaping and then continuing their fitness videos, most people would probably smile at that.
If it goes something like "Last week I was followed by Slender Man so I threw a stone at him, then he ran away. I'm free and have stopped coughing." or it goes along the lines of... *shudder* Breaker... then people won't like it.
I think Marble Hornets is going to have trouble ending because it is an amazing series and if it doesn't have a sufficiently epic ending than people will be disappointed.

i don't think marble hornets will have happy ending. i don't really want it to. i don't NOT like the characters, but i see no possible route to a happy ending. what i see is jay posting a video or tweeting something basically saying either "i'm going to finish this, i may never be back" or "goodbye world."
as for EMH, i want it to have a good ending. i just really like the characters, and it would be hard to see them go. there may even be a "final battle."

While I wouldn't argue that a slenderderies CANT have an end, I wouldt argue it would be very hard to do so and keep up with the mystery of slenderman

Look at how season 1 of Marble Hornets ended, it worked nicely enough. Jay had been on the run, he had stopped thinking about it, and he became better.
Until he got that tape of course, but if you cut that part out, it is a sufficient ending to a Slendy series.
Also, the end of the Just Another Fool blog. A cliffhanger ending, but a good ending nonetheless

When it comes to tales like The Slender Man, a happy ending occurring is little to none. I imagine it would be difficult for anyone to lead a normal life without some mental scarring after all that they generally seem to experience.
So it's dead, insane, or the highway.
