Found this a while ago and may be a dead lead, but searching for D12 and military I found a form known as a D12 - PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY.

MAYBE the D12 entry is some from of delivery docket or some documentation for DELIVERY of something.

Think train and cargo etc.

Untricky;

Not saying you're wrong, but do you think Mysterio wants Josh to send the comic by train? Which one?

This seems more like something that a fish enthusiast could possibly connect with==just not sure how Josh figures this cryptic message right?

I'm just thinking that their may be a clue to how they are communicating... maybe by some protocol of the military and that D12 may be that protocol....

Or this is the ramblings of a disgruntled ARGer with nothing much to do atm. Very Happy

untricky: Hmm that could be something, but M did say "upload" which means via website or some sort of program. But im not sure. This could be a link to something? That document coud have some hints to where Josh uploaded the comic too.

But bear in mind that Josh may not know much about programming and such. I'm a web designer and the code (in hooklineandminker) says it was made by Michael Bester - http://kimili.com, which looks OOG, so this means Josh would not have known how to code websites. But still it may be something we should look into. Has anyone done any further analysis

Good points too!

FTP is a protocol, maybe it's in line with something like that.

Trogl Coding System

Okay, so this is my first ever post but I've been following for a while and driving myself nuts even longer. And maybe you guys already brought this up but..

Trogl is written inside of the book. Trogl is a type of coding system. I've looked it up but I don't know anything about coding systems. And M needs the book uploaded using the "D12" entry. I think that there might be a clue on Josh's fathers ID card since Trogl is written on there as well. As far as what this coding system is as well. I think that Craigs list might still be a good lead. We're just looking for a book on there, maybe we should be looking for something else.

Sorry, it's late. My brain is about to blow up, so that's why my stream of thought might not make any sense.

P.S. Has any one made any sense of what "Binder" and "Boc"? could possibly mean on the copy print out of the Moby Dick book? I also looked up the "Random Book Club" that sent Josh the book. It's a real company. I'm not sure if it's an OOG site or not though. I'm not that good at ARG yet. My feelers are all open wide and I'm driving myself and my girlfriend crazy with Super 8 during this whole week off of work. Embarassed

efend;

Welcome! Laughing

There is a Random House Book club, but they're a publishing company that's been around forever, unless you found another.

As you've noticed, we're all pulling our hair out trying to figure out how everything is supposed to link and make sense. Rolling Eyes

Keep contributing! Have you been assigned a fleet from RP?

What about a Dodecahedron? Its frequently refereed to as a D12, more so with dice. It's made up of 12 Pentagons and there's all kinds of number/math possibilities with this..

I agree that the FTP is a good chance too, if the host was set up by both of them I wouldn't be surprised if the password was Toadfish112.

Xeno, Thanks!

Not yet. I've just recently registered online. I hope that I'm not too late. I really wish that I had jumped on the band wagon sooner but I had no idea about the world of ARG and didn't fully understand the concept when Cloverfield was coming out. I wish I had mailed in the actual news paper clipping last year.

Tell me about it--one of my roomies was sent the first letter with a postmark of Aug 12, and I haven't heard of anyone with a later PM for the 1st letter, so he got in on that one by the skin of his teeth, and now that the certificates from RP are being pdf'd, looks like the hardcopy snailmail ones have dried up.

oh well, haste makes waste, and time is of the essence!

just be patient, I'm sure you'll be a part of what's (slowly, but surely) coming. Wink

The only site that alllows FTP is hooklineandminker.com

Looks as though it accepts any username but I've tried about a million different passwords but no luck.

Using Filezilla to connect if anyone else wants a crack.

Might be a co-incidence, but why would every other site lock FTP and not this one unless they wanted us to snoop around. Smile

Good point, they must want us to look at some files.(im guessing that they'll make it download only, only on certain files)

But yes I tried it and i cant say i know the password, but it must be something they've hinted at

That really looks like the object the scientists are examining in some of the pics.
Dodecahedron also represent the universe.
