[POLL] How do you spell His name?
Along the vein of the tie thread

Just curious about this. How do you spell his name? I've noticed a few people use Slenderman and that just seems like a surname to me...

I personally go with Slender Man (even though I like the "The" on the start).

If you choose other in the poll, please tell us in a post.

I chose "the Slenderman". I always thought of it as akin to "the gentleman" or "the repairman". "The Slender Man" is probably more correct since I'm fairly sure that's how it originated, but I think the former works, too, and it's what my fingers are more wont to type without thinking.

I call him Slendy, like an old buddy

I think The Slender Man is most appropriate, but I personally use Slenderman. Gets the same point across in 4 less characters

Casually, Slendy. Properly, Slenderman.

I pronounce it like "The Slender-min" in conversation just to be a dork.

It should probably be noted that Google always tries to auto correct it to Slender Man if you don't use the space.

I prefer The Slender Man, but I usually just call him Slendy. Or Skinnybuns. Or Tall, Dark, and Faceless. Or "our [relevant adjective] friend". Or SLONDERMONZ. Or WACKY WAVING ARM-FLAILING INFLATABLE RUBBER TUBE MAN. Or Squiggles. Or Jack Slendington.

Okay, maybe I just make a new one up every time I mention him.

I thought TNC himself was canon. Or at least his fists are.

Slenderman, if solely for the fact the my friends and I like to call him David Slenderman as if it's a Jewish name, and then there's Slendermom and she's really concerned about him all the time, i.e - "Oh David, you're as skinny as a rail I wish you would eat something sometime" or "David, you're out so late with that Jay boy, I wish you would come home earlier", etc., etc.

TNC?

Also, Arky, I'm trying my best not to incorporate that into my plans. People would rage at me in 3-5 months when mine gets going and I don't think that it fits with the seriousness I want... But I want to add it so baaad... Razz

I'm trying m best not to incorporate the UnNatural Events stuff into my plans too.
