The EverymanHYBRID wiki is useful.

Give this a look-through. Should help answer any questions and catch you up to speed.

If that doesn't help or you want something more visual to catch up with, you'll find a compilation video for Months 1-3, 4-6, and the hidden videos during those months, on this channel:

He does, but he also does some summary and analysis videos of everymanHYBRID(currently months 1-6) that could be considered useful.

Well, CarpeCor- You've dragged me out of lurking. Given me inspiration.

I like SEESME. A lot. I just have one.. little thing with it- it requires 3 players (and i'm betting, like munchkin, the game becomes more fun the more people you get). And most of us slenderfans probably don't have 4-5 others to game with.

(i'm totally behind the idea of somehow making this an online game)

So I've been inspired to work on a slenderman board game. For more like 2-4 players.

The problem is i am the opposite of artistic. And I don't know that i have anyone around here who would playtest it with me to work out the balance issues... So I thought I'd put my thoughts out here and see if anyone was interested.

(This isn't so much a series game, as an original slenderman game. Might put a few references, but... )

The players start out in an empty hotel- with no idea how they got there. Or indeed, the length of their stay. So they have to explore the town for information. The board would be something like clue- with the players able to move all over, and several locations scattered about- like
Abandon House
Old church
Library
Ruins
Wooden Tower
Playground/school.
Ancient Tree

Surrounding the whole board, around the edges- if the Woods.

There are two stats for each player- memory, and sanity. They start with 0 memory, and full sanity. As they explore the map, they gain evidence cards- useful items, mixed in with notes, tapes, documents- cameras- these either give bonuses, and or give memory. When they reach enough memory, they can try to escape through the woods ( which means facing.. HIM. In HIS own territory. )

After arriving at a location and drawing evidence, they then draw an event card- this triggers something. Sighting of something pale and white, Headaches, unnatural geometry. these cards can have an effect, and a lot of them reduce players sanity in the process. They also effect all players at a location- if someone is at the library, and another player arrives, finds a notebook, and then draws a card that says 'BEHIND YOU- RUN. JUST RUN- 6 spaces in any direction. lose 1 sanity' Both players must move, and lose sanity.

If a player drops to zero sanity, they flip their token over- revealing a mask. They have been hollowed. They cannot escape. Now, they serve their faceless master by stalking down the remaining players- and each encounter with the hollowed risks both your collection of notes, and your sanity.

HOW TO WIN:
You cannot win.
The best you can hope for, is to escape.
and spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder.

I have more, but i really should have left the house 10 minutes ago.

suggestion:

collaborative internet version of carpe's slendygame. then even the loneliest of us slendy-obsessed folks will be able to find enough people to play it with.

I love the idea of a collective internet board based one. It could be a mite like rping if you think of it. In fact if you could get a game large enough going you could have collaborative teams and the like. Hrmm SEESME seems liek it could expand and get really fun in the ways people could take it and play it.

Random thought popped into my head. In the .- video, I'm pretty sure Evan's in the water, at least for a second...if he is linked to HABBIT, is it possible he felt so guilty he tried/tries to drown himself? I dunno...I put this in the offtopic thread since the thought is pretty much from no where and doesn't have really anything to do with the new videos...yeah.

Sitic- I hope you can do that! It sounds like a great idea. I'd be fine with someone making this an online game, however I do not have the skill to do so. Good luck with your game. I like the Sanity and memory stats.

Is there a certain amount of memory you have to achieve to have a better chance at escaping? How does escaping work? Is there a dice rolled? How do you plan on making someone face Slender Man (a certain card, a character piece, etc?)

I also really like the idea of having a player become hallowed as opposed to just being removed from game. Have you considered, after the player has been hallowed, they receive a different rulebook or deck of cards?

That's the hybrids for you.

It'd probably be twice that if we didn't have angora.

much less the skypes, tinychat, etc etc etc

Does anyone have ideas for 'event' cards in a slenderboardgame?

The more I can use, the better.
