This is always the best place to look as it is always the most up-to-date. ---> LINK

I got one and took the whole thing apart. It's held together with 12 screws and a butload of tape and the weight comes from a piece of metal held inside the body with double sided tape. Taking it apart didn't do good things to it. I would recommend buying the body kit for replacing the N8 body if you want to add electronics as it's already in parts and the display isn't blocked (The dummy display is a solid piece of plastic with a small round hole and six screws in it that the faux screen sticker sits on). All you would need to do is take the screws and the screen from the dummy and add them to the body and voila, one hollow shell ready for electronics.

"Taking it apart didn't do good things to it" tell me about it! i still cannot dislodge the lower case piece to remove the battery. this thing was easy to find the initial 4 screws—2 under the faux HDMI cover (requiring a #0 phillips), 2 T4 Torx (that a 1.4mm slotted screwdriver was able to open it). right now i'm at an impasse already leaving cosmetic marks from attempts.
if anyone wants to know what's under a real one, here's something i found:
http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nokia-N8-Teardown/3641/1
as mentioned earlier, the HDMI doesn't open like that on the dummy an the 2 phillips are under that side which is one molded piece held on by double-sided tape.

The other screws are under the faux screen. Peel off the sticker display and they are under it.

Just got mine today. Awesome shipping- the whole thing is really professionally done. Felt bad ripping the mailer open...

And digging the necklace too. Worth the cash! Thanks!
