I don't think approaching Evan that way is a good idea, myself. Assuming you get HABIT to come out, what then? We assume it's like the movies and Evan magically forgets that you baited him into a blackout, or worse, something he does remember? I think it would permanently damage our relationship to Evan and through him the gang. I think the only way to challenge HABIT on his big talk is to reach him when he's out and about on his own terms - trying to bring him out through goading Evan or someone else seems too risky, especially when as of yet we still don't quite know the circumstances of his residence or what he's capable of, and with how many people.

OTOH, can it hurt to ask Evan about his own past in a friendly way? IMO not at all.

More importantly than what they think of HABIT (I'm pretty sure they simply view him as a fucked up individual but they have bigger issues at the moment as far as otherworldly monsters), has anyone shared our personal chats with HABIT with them? I mean HABIT has- allegedly- given slight clarification on Jessa and several other things concerning them. We should probably make sure they know about this. Even if they are already aware, it would be a good way to bring focus to HABIT. I mean yeah at the moment I think maybe they feel more in danger from Slenderman or the Rake, but in reality HABIT is who is making me worry. Not exactly because I am afraid he'll try to kill them (though surely he may try to kill people they care about), I'm more worried about the whole Evan HABIT connection- I just can't see that scenario unfolding well at all. In fact I feel somewhat fatalistic about it! Every time I try to think of a safe way we can let them know about this or to bring it up even a little more plainly, I remember the hidden underwater footage...

Back onto topic, why did Corenthal and Maryanne take the four on the run so to speak? Do we know what prompted that moment? Or was it just a decision as opposed to an event that produced it?

Giving it a more thought, trying to invoke HABIT would not be a good idea at this time. We can't guarantee how it would unfold or effect our relationship with the gang. I think HABIT has more control then we realize and we can't risk any falling outs.

I do think it's important to talk to HABIT when he's out on his own. I don't think trying to bring him out of one of the gang is a good idea as of yet. I think that would put all of them and the host, not to mention our relationship to them, in serious jeopardy.

I'm in the we need to treat HABIT on his own. If only because my theories regarding HABIT seem to be have as much to them as they have against them at times. I think we wait on Habit we play the game to his rules and see if we can pull things out of him slowly.

Just because we play by his rules doesn't mean we can't turn around and use the same rules against him you know?
