 		research group
i liked the idea, but i feel like the pm's are redirecting us. dont they say in their press-release they will not use their recources for research right now? but if you will go on with the idea i have some points to make about the proposal.

drug efficiancy, chirality of molecules and neurology is tied together. to make more efficiant drugs you have to control molecular chirality. it has something to do with the receptors int the brain.

...i can't believe we would have to learn to be neurobiologists to play an arg, thought...

Yes, the things i've learned about from playing ARGs...

Ok, Nigeria. I found nothing in-game. possible connections:
*Nigeria is the origination point of Vudun/Voodoo according to several different reliable (?) sources.
*Nigeria is also a place where unethical drug-trials by multinational companies have taken place.

EDIT:
*Nigeria is also a popular location for studies in ethnobothany and ethnomedicine, with some, but not impressive progress, so far.

I love the research aspects of ARGs as I stink at code breaking Smile

I actually was putting something about Vodun in my proposal as a link between herbal and folk medicine - a lot of actual studies are turning to folk medicine to discover new drugs

Just thought of something -the 3/5 event is that 2pm UK time? that would be what - 9am EST?

Research thoughts
Has anyone gone over the background research and the drug tests to see if there is a pattern... are some drugs increased more than others and is there something to why they might be?

Also - maybe submitting a proposal will be an achievement to unlock?

I like that idea. I would like to do something about the ethical questions a new drug-efficacy-booster would bring up, for example in the area of neuro enhancement, especially in education. Should it be allowed at all - or is education something, we have to work hard for? Does better memory capacity for instance means greater intellicence, higher education? What would this mean for our society, if it were so? One can argue, if the use of neuro enhancement is restricted only to richer people who already have access to higher education, those drugs may widen the gap between rich and poor. On the other hand, if they would be primarily used to help people with low education, it would bring both together.

I disagree with the kidnapping date. In her video she says it's Friday the 24th. This could easily be a mistake by the PMs, but the only two "recent" Friday the 24ths were both last year- September 24th, and December 24th. Either she's been missing a lot longer than we thought, or it's a PM mistake. Just saying.

ETA: Per the video description of the kidnapping video on YouTube, she disappeared on February 24th. A Thursday

Count me in on this too (I got the email as well), if we can develop a legit research project there might be a difference in their reaction, maybe taking us more seriously? Also, I think we should use our own addresses, just in case it's really a sign up for something.

I'm going to archive everything we've learned so far into a .zip for anyone who needs it.

 		I found some more informations while using Google. Not sure if this is known by now..

1) I wasn't able to browse the press release page of Pharmucom until i found it on google... http://www.pharmucom.com/press_release.html

2) Looking at the source code of the press release page i found this.. http://www.pharmucom.com/announcements.html

This gives us some new names..
Gregg Peterson - Director of Corporate Communications at Pharmucom
Charles Kensington - Founder of Pharmucom

Hmmm not much i could find about these two on the net yet..
