I love the postcard with the two handwritten "hello's" on it

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The postcard is High Bridge aqueduct, built 1868, postcard taken 1908. I found the bridge postcard here http://www.celebrateboston.com/postcard/bridges.htm

Wikipedia for High Bridge notes its importance to NYC water supply. Hmm...

Nice work chelbelle, that was seriously fast!

I printed off the code ribbon and wrapped it around a pen (not a Bic. I tried Bic at first, one with the hexagonal cross-section, but nothing lined up), and the resulting columns read down:

A 2 15 10 5 O
F C 19 8 X T
K B 17 13 26 Y
P G 14 4 18 1
U L C 21 25 23
9 Q H D 20 12
7 V M I 24 16
6 3 R N E 22
W J

I found it strange the the 'W' an 'J' was left over. There is no Z, 3 or 11 for some reason.

Can anyone see anything here? I'm not much good with ciphers

Snipe cube scytale

Hey, I posted the other day, but you must have missed it, when I wrapped the strip around a bic pen, it read down like this in columns:

A F K P U
9 7 6 2 5
B G L Q V
3 15 19 17 14
C H M R W
10 8 13 4 21
D I N S X
26 18 25 20 24
E J O T Y
1 23 12 16 22

Notice how the letters are alphabetical down the pen.

With the "bic pen" code - it seems like we're given the tools to solve a puzzle which we might receive in the future. Perhaps bear it in mind if we receive any number sequences.

There's something weird about the typed writing on that card. With all the elongated spaces and "u"s instead of "o"s and the "k" in uncle. And what's he on about with the uncle thing? But i guess he could just be trying to make it look like a normal postcard.

Still pretty cool.

Has anyone tried putting a UV light over one of these yet?

[edit]
Just noticed the signing of SK at the bottom of the postcard. Salim Khel. If this post card is from between 1614 and 1674 then that's weird.

The postcard would be newer than 1674 because the text is in print. Even if the postcard is from 1908 Salem Khel couldn't have written the postcard he was born in '69.

There's quite a few spelling mistakes here, i know that they seem to be some what of a common theme, but i thought i'd list them all anyhow...

Letters missed are on the first line, letters used in place of them on the second;
Code:
i oo a c o e
  u  u k u a

This is probably me looking too far into everything and missing the intended point of it as usual, there looks to be too many vowels for them to be an anagram or anything.

Since from the start time travel or people simply not dying has been a suspicion by most people i wouldn't rule out that this post card was written back then. Didn't Loki also say that there was no record of Salim before a certain year?

[edit]
I decided to put this into an ROT cipher tool, and come up with 1 think which looked interesting, although could just be a coincidence;
Quote:
M SS E G S I
Y Y O Y E

The second line probably doesn't meant anything, but the top line looks suspiciously like MESSIGE (which is still spelled incorrectly). Like i said, probably me looking too far into nothing or going down the complete wrong path.[/code]

what knarF posted intrigued me - I thought the spelling mistakes might mean something, too.

I wrote (I like working with a pen and paper) the errors down in one column, and the "actual" spelling in a column next to it.. what I found interesting was the fact the vowels seemed to have a little pattern going.

First off, I wrote them like this (with the incorrect note spelling on the left, and the correct spelling on the right):
e=ie
u=oo
u=a
u=o
a=e

If we make some assumptions and simplify the mistakes down to vowels, it seems to go something like this (again, note usage on the left, correct usage on the right):
a=e
e=i/e
i=[[not used, possibly o?]]
o=[[not used, possibly u?]]
u=a/o/oo

Maybe I'll crazy and reading too much into it, but written like that, it seems the vowels have shifted over by one letter? I don't think it's of any importance when it comes to this note, but maybe it's a clue for use elsewhere?

I-I'll just go away now..

New email from Sigyn

Quote:

Subject: lokileaks

Boy, Loki thinks he's SO smart.

He's not.

BUT since the delicate genius has to STILL be in hiding, he's got me doing his dirty work

I hope you have all gotten the clues he's sent out, including the ones through the mail, he's convinced they all add up to something.

OK, here goes, straight form the horses-mouth

(more like horses-ass)

This one is one to scratch your head

Keep track of all the things I've said

I'm not bad, despite what you've heard

You just have to say the magic word.

Yeah, Loki, EXCELLENT way to send out information....Be cryptic.

Here are the five images from the new link:

Just looking at them, they look like the routes of the five bus tickets that showed up when we put the code into the R A G N A R O K site.

Not quite. When superimposed over one another, they all source from the same star. Seems like Mr Salim has been running business from Islamabad

I don't think your map is to scale, Skip. I googled directions from Islamabad to Waziristan and it's all within3-400km of Islamabad.

FINNENGARLSH, how did you upload images stright into your post? I've got a map overlay I want to put up but I can't get it to work Sad
