Also, a lot of people seem to be on the bandwagon for getting right of Just Another Fool pages, and none of the other wiki editors have chimed in on the subject. I think it's about freaking time to do it.

Also: Hey Zaden! I'd love to have you updating the wiki too, but you'll get more response if you PM Dav Flamerock. Smile He's the admin for our wikidot site and the only one who can grant editor status, and I'm not sure he reads this thread currently.

*edit* So it turns out that only admins and apparently select moderators can delete pages.

I would suggest that everyone who thinks the JaF pages should be deleted from the Wiki PM Dav Flamerock about either doing it himself, or designating one of the current edit-capable mods to be the one to do it, and giving them the power to.

 		Not to be a nay-sayer, but you said this was a friendly debate so...

I really like the set-up the way it is. It's way I was introduced to everything. Someone on vgf.com/forums posted a link and said, "Slender Man. Check this out if you dare." and it took me right to the Slender Man page of the wiki. It was a great way to introduce the idea of the Slender Man to me with the Sterling City Library fire, missing people, and crazed/dead photographer. It gave me something to fear, and, now interested, I dove right into the Entries.

The best part is, I never saw the home page that explained ARG's and Unfiction. I thought it was real for the first six entries.

I don't know if you guys had similar experiences, but the experience that I had that day was great. Creepy. Unsettling. And that's why I'm hooked today.

I'd like to cast my vote to keep the Slender Man page and Operator page the way they are and keep Just Another Fool. And this might be crazy but, get rid of the suspension-of-disbelief-killing home page.

Well, that's my personal opinion and my first experience. Hope it helps.

I like the idea of keeping it ambiguous as to the veracity of the series (where it can be done, that is -- I don't want to outright lie on any of the pages). If people think it's real at first... all the more fun as it begins to become apparent that it isn't. So maybe mucking with the front page could be a thing to put on the to-do list, if other people want to go this route too.

That said, I think separating "the Operator" from "Slenderman" doesn't have to kill that suspension of disbelief. I think it could be done in a way that makes it sound more like 'this is a different name for possibly the same entity' rather than 'the guys who make Marble Hornets chose a different name than the guy who originally created Slender Man'. And I don't think taking out the JaF stuff would destroy suspension of disbelief at all... if anything, it'd make for a more cohesive whole.

I'll make sure I keep that in mind. I'm going to start working on that now, and I'll post in the Wiki thread once it's all spiff'd up.

 		I figure alex's section could have a little more to it (it's as long as brian's and seth's??), like maybe SM encounters, speculation on him being TTA (not that i believe that, but there seems to be more evidence that he is than seth, and seth has that in his section), or something.

entry 27's transcript says there's audio distortion, but i think that's just a refrigerator or AC turning on. very small detail, but implies that slenderman is near, which isn't the case (i don't think, at least).

and maybe there should be a sidebar for characters? i feel like that could be more convenient instead of searching the relevant entries that have that character in it first.

great job with the wiki, guys. it's really been spruced up. excellent work.

Well, I wouldn't say that anyone's "in charge" of it, anymore than anyone is in charge of anything on the wiki. It's very much an "All Indians, No Chiefs" kind of scenario, where anyone who is inclined to work on it can do so. That explains why there are so many different formats for things like transcripts, speculation, & the like. For instance, I am unfortunately responsible for the proliferation of ampersands on the wiki, as that's just how I type (sorry! Embarassed).

I created the theories page, based on someone's suggestion here, but I hold no ownership of that page, would contest anyone else claim of exclusivity. If you have something to contribute, then by all means go ahead. I only ask that all contributors refrain from posting speculation as fact; there are many things that are open to interpretation, & presenting one view as more valid than others without evidence to back it up is bad for all concerned.
