[OT] THE Halo 2 "BeeKeepers" Clan

Our fast growing network of fans trying to solve the ILB puzzel is expanding on yet another front.

I want to present this as the first official notice of the "BeeKeeper" clan to be launched on XBL in corespondance with Halo2 on Novemeber 9th.

We have labored long and hard, trying our minds, our paitience, and our loyalties... But above all obstacles, we have stuck together. And we will continue to do so as the puzzel fades into the game... and the game into our homes...

The Name of the clan is all but certainly not final. Changing the name of our organization will only be, as SM pointed out, a logical step in the progression of the game. The game will be over, but we need not nessisarily disband and dispurse at that thought.
Open elections will be presented to all perspective teamembers as to what to call the clan in the long run; weather we keep the BeeKeepers title, or to adjust it to a name presented and voted by the members is completly up to you.

The BeeKeepers Chapter on the 7th column initiative will sponsor/support the clan.
This is us starting to think above and beyond ILB, as we have only a few short weeks before it's end.

The basic structure of the Clan will be as follows:

The Cammand Staff will consist of several Beekeepers who possess a demonstrated strategic ability as well as the respect of their fellow teamates. These individuals will make up a military counsel that will organize comeptions and tournaments within the clan aswell as between us and other clans. Command Positions (command counsel) are to be decided during a group meeting/tournament held on november 9th. Exact time TBA.

The Keepers will be the main force of the clan. This means everyone else. This is a very key position, and is open to an unlimited number of individuals.

We may descide to break the clan into squadrants, each commanded by their own Staff member(s). This tier based structure would hold tournaments and championships in much the same way the american baseball leagues work. Wich format will be used for the clan is still undescided. To help us choose, please take a moment to vote in the poll attatched to this thread.

To enlist, simply state your Gamertag and desired Rank below, or if you wish E-mail them to
incitatusSPLAThvc.rr.com

If this is still unsatisfactory, or if you want to pay a visit to the ILB 7th Column Chapter, please visit the "BeeKeeper" Link in my signature.

EDIT - moved to the already 6 page long thread re: H2 Xbox "ilovebees" beekeeper clan thread, entitled "Beekeepers Clan". Thanks for the new thread, but it really wasn't necessary. -SG

Wow. Uh. That's a lot of structure. And a lot of work you'll do. Good for you. I was just expecting a place where Beekeepers would play.

I too would love to play with my fellow beekeepers but would probably
play more for fun than want a very strict set of regulations. Sure, further
down the line I might want to form some sort of elite badass squad.
Any Unforums people who want to look me up, my "live" gamertag is oddly
enough "AngriBuddhist".

Can we compile a list of gamertags?

I went ahead and joined the Beekeepers group, but I'm also not sure if I'll have time to devote to regulated matches, etc. We've talked about this a bit in the chat. I'm all for compiling a list of Gamertags, having everyone add those people to their Friend's Lists, then playing by invite whenever there's people on.

My Gamertag is LilPrincess by the way. I just stuck with my given name here (kirsten in the chat as well) because of the confusion of having the Sleeping Princess here.

Edited to add:

Microsoft is selling Xbox Live full kits for $29.99 and renewal kits for $19.99. The full kit includes the headset and a copy of Crimson Skies. The renewal is just the card with a code. They were on backorder last I heard, but I ordered from them a couple months ago with no problem:

As of right now, I only play XBconnect (because it's free!!!), but as soon as halo 2 drops in, I'll be hooking up live...

My gamertag is "Killtacular"

welp.... looks like i'm gettin' an xbox (thank God the price is coming down) i guess this ARG is serving its primary purpose then

Okay, that's two Xboxes sold by this ARG that I know about. If this is representative, then yes the marketing aspect of this ARG really is working as planned.

w00t! That means more ARGs in the future! Smile

make that 3!

Evil ARGs Twisted Evil and the needs they create! Cursing

And even worse, I'll have to buy Halo 1 to know what's going on... I've only seen the game on a TV show... I've never played or seen someone playing it! Now I'll have to go on the credit line to make sure I'm up to date on November 9th! BTW, how long should it take me to go through Halo 1 ? The last FPS I played was GoldenEye on N64...!

I hope Microsoft/Bungie/whoever are happy, they've just made their first reported sale exclusively because of ILB. I bought a brand new XBOX with a copy of Halo on Saturday. Because of them (of course it was not my fault at all! Embarassed ) I stayed up too late playing last night (this morning) and I never heard the alarm two hours later... Maybe this will also be the first reported job loss related to this ARG! Only time will tell...

Longtime lurker, first-time poster. Didn't think my first post would be OT, though - I was hoping it would be a bit of mind-blowing [SPEC], but alas... I don't have the time to play this game properly.

If there's a Beekeepers/Haunted Apiary Halo 2 clan, I'd love to be in it. You guys have demostrated a tremendous amount of deductive thinking, intelligence and a friendliness level that's off the charts - all rarities on the Net.

My gamertag's the same as my account name. I'm looking forward to see you guys online!

Edit: I am glad to see that the ARG is bringing more people to Halo (and Halo 2). What kind of experience is it to approach the Halo story from the perspective of an ARGer? I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.
