So, back on topic, what happened to Daniel? Did he just bail on the guys after Episode 6?

Evan just replied on an email conversation( that I thought was done) I was having with Jeff.

There's nothing relevant, just thanking us for caring...but it's still unnerving a bit.

All in all, I think Evan is actually kind of a fatalist. Which is weird considering his "I want to kill it" stuff...but we've seen the way he acts in situations. He'll sit, swear, and laugh at the hopelessness at times. I think him asking us not to worry and getting upset at Vinnie for talking to us about Jessie runs pretty inline with the character we've seen presented.

It's just a weird thing seeing him more involved online.

And while I said up there that he's a fatalist, he also swings waaaay the other way and is a good instigator. Where Jeff might take some information and say "we'll see"...if we can convince Evan of the importance of something...he's probably more willing to hope in his car at 3 am to go check it out. So, long story short, I think Evan talking to us via email is a definite storyline that will play out

And another HABIT tweet. He's busy today.

It seems like Evan is the most likely candidate for inHABITation, but assuming HABIT can choose whose skin he's wearing, what's to stop him from jumping from one person to another within the EMH circle? Evan was the most advantageous to start with-- he has a certain crassness that HABIT seems to have too, making discovery less likely. He's also the one least familiar with technology, averting suspicion when the HABIT tweets and trials and even videowork (if that was him, just sayin) come to light.

However, what's to stop him from jumping bodies when Evan attracts too much attention to himself? Is there something in a person that HABIT needs to be able to live within them, and if so, what is it? If HABIT is in Evan, does that make Evan fundamentally different from the others or is his personality just more conducive to "mankind's bad HABIT"?

EDIT: come to think of it, he was the last of the EMH guys to enter the group-- unless we're counting Stephanie among the EMH guys (ala MT4), and I don't think we ever learned when she came into the picture. If I remember correctly, Evan was the first of the MT4 that Corenthal accepted into his family, but the both the wiki and the good doctors letters are maddeningly vague on this. Hmmph.

It would be kind of interesting if, with one of the current 4 plus Alex removed, a minor character like Daniel suddenly leaped to prominence, not unlike how Jeff was practically a bit player behind the camera early on.

Tangentially, I just emailed EMH again re: the Linnie/Jessa's family/Maryann questions we had - with the fetching title of "Annoying repeated question is annoying," who could resist?

Okay, this is me bullshitting on the spot, but Daniel was there when the Slenderman taunted EMH in Episode 6. Why has nothing happened to him? Because he's not connected to MT4. If he was there when Slendy first showed up, He wasn't, that shit started decades ago. then why is he still living a totally normal life? It seemed, at first, that Slendy was hunting EMH for using a fake Slendy, Irrelevant, disproved. and it would make sense for a vengeful Slendy to murder the fake. But he didn't, so let it go.

Like qaqa said above, what if Daniel is more than scenery? He totally isn't, Kempest, calm down. What if, in a crazy twist, it turned out Daniel was HABIT all along? Okay, WHAT. Now you've gone too far. Or rather, what if he was inHABITed? Seriously, stop. We haven't been paying attention to him, so all his time is unaccounted for. Oh my god Kempest shut up.

Look, baseless conjecture aside, I think that, because he was at least part of the EMH crew before EMH+1 was an acronym, we shouldn't just count him out entirely. Cool story, bro.

I agree he's something to keep in the back of our minds, at least.

Of course, you could always email them yourself and ask if Daniel has reported any strange happenings, given what happened to the seemingly equally unconnected Ryan.
