Shelley asked a question on yahoo answers yesterday.

Quote:
Name of stars in the constellation lepus ?
If you look at a constellation picture of Lepus [rabbit not lupus/wolf], which star is the right eye of the rabbit [as we look at it, the left - but rabbits right eye?]
Thank you.
1 day ago - 3 days left to answer.

One reply -
Quote:
That would be µ Leporis.

Then it appears Shelley added this-

Quote:
Additional Details
Dont thik it's mu leprois - thats a bit brighter and lower own: look at this website:http://www.constellationsofwords.com/Constellations/Lepus.htm to see what i mean... thanks

I checked out the link and found some fun stuff. Lepus means hare, and the constellation is one. There is also this fact :
Quote:
The constellation Lepus was also seen as "Cain driven from the face of the earth to the face of the Moon":

A medieval legend used to say that at the end, Cain arrived at the Moon where he eternally settled with a bundle of twigs. An example of this belief can be found in Dante Alighieri's Inferno (XX, 126) where the expression "Cain and the twigs" is used as a synonym of "moon"

The Moon of course is where the crater Galvani is located.
Making me wonder if this relates to the three questions. He is also asking abut the right eye, which is where the binary code was hidden.

I may be reading into this too much, but nothing Shelley has done so far has been insignificant, it would probably be worthwhile to look into this further.

Spent a while trying to pin down the star in relation to the yahoo answers question. Not much success.

See what I wrote:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In the diagram you supplied a link for the star in the right eye has no name. The closest I can get using charts and measurements is 25 G. Leporis.

Looking at that image on the link:

The right ear composes λ Leporis (lambda) and ν Leporis (nu).
The left ear ι Leporis (iota) and κ Leporis (kappa).
The brighter star already mentioned lower down on the jaw is μ Leporis (mu).

EDIT: There is another star marked on contemporary star charts that I cannot decipher the name of, however this star does not appear on the image in your link at all. It would be way over the shoulder of the hare though, nowhere near the right eye.

Since the right eye is a relatively minor star may I suggest that since different artists attribute different stars to different anatomical parts of constellations there may be some crossed wires here?

Also, note the date of the first Calvin and Hobbes link: June 17 1992. May be relevant.

Also, also, a comment from FFEY-T on utube under the Wombats "Lost in the Post"

I assume it refers to Ofiuco.

Just trying to throw everything together on this thread.

We got some new pics on Shelley's Flicker. Seems to be more numbers.

Also a fun fact, the pictures are said to be uploaded on the 7th, but the pictures were taken on the 8th...

UK is 5 hours ahead of US (Eastern Time; add 1 hr. per time zone going westward).

Thanks, String, but I am actually not the wise wombat in question. That was one of the clues to the pandemonium of parakeets. Apparently, a group of wombats is known as a wisdom.

I checked my mail today, but all I got was copious amounts of spam. Thank you, previous resident. Should be coming in soon though.

Ah I thought the song title by the Wombats "Lost in the Post" was referring to your "package".
Heh!

So many inferences...my brain is melting. 10-10

Similarly QTR is the code for Qatar Airways - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qatar_Airways

@adamtaylor replied to me saying he wasn't sure what the message said, just that it pointed to @WhiteRabbitYT. Darn. If any of you guys are in the UK, maybe we could get him to tell us where he found it and you could check it out.

Still no package. By the end of this week, I bet my apartment manager is going to be really tired of me.

Message just received from FFEYT

I asked if luggage tags were clue re: plane flight. His response:

Quote:
Boarding Monday- please ensure you have your email registered with the cabin crew before take off. Parachute available before departure...

I'm thinking, perhaps it will be a Flight 131 - research here:

Darnit... I raced home to make it back before the office closed, but they didn't have any packages for me. Admittedly, the guy said that he had only seen USPS today, and not FedEx or UPS, and if they come by in the next ten minutes or so, he'll call me... :(

If it doesn't come today, then I guess the earliest I'd have it is Monday after work.

He said on Twitter that we would need to do more research... We've figured out the weird three-letter codes (mostly) as Q-codes, etc.

Does anyone know if there is any special significance between White Day, Winnie the Pooh, and thistles? Seeing as that's what's being shipped to Ofiuco, they MUST be significant. I haven't found anything connecting them yet, but I'll keep looking.

I read through the thread last night, sorry I'm only just contributing now. I emailed him when I saw that we had to email him by White Day, and he directed me to Unfiction in his response. XD I guess he'll do the same with others, so that's pretty awesome.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Welcome friend,.

Yes, enter and raise the gauntlet along with the others. One chapter has already passed though, and this will be useful information to know.
Might I suggest talking to others who follow me, @pbemaddy and @ofiuco are two active partakers...
We understand they discuss somewhere secret their thoughts and ideas- but it will never be found by us. UNFortunately that Is - perhaps you Could Try to fInd their thOughts sooN?

Until the White Day...

Good evening! If you're to depart on Monday, I seem to have found the trail just in time. Is this the correct address to register for the departure (and, hopefully, a parachute)?

New e-card from FFEY-T

Hi all,

Got an e-card from FFEY-T which seems to indicate what March 14 date he is speaking of (not the Japanese holiday). I am still catching up on the info in this thread so cannot conclude anything from it but am posting for you who may better understand what it is he is trying to communicate.

http://www.123greetings.com/send/view/03214311623045634786

(it's a video but I don't know how to post videos here on unforum)

Also thank you to Rich (?) for following me on Twitter a few days ago which is how I heard about this. Very, very interesting story although I've been sidetracked perhaps by reading about FFEY-T, Shelley, Byron etc (as I am not good with the puzzle aspects.)

Edit:
Also one of his emails to me had subject line "from a single cloud the lightning flashes" which is from a Shelley poem "Liberty" (in my email I had asked if this had any bearing on Shelley's philosophy of liberty see here
http://mises.org/journals/jls/6_2/6_2_4.pdf).

The reason I had asked that is because FFEY-T had said something about seeing the circle not just the circumference early in this thread to someone (and that Shelley understood this but Byron did not) which maybe alludes to the Shelley-Byron circle see here
http://www.nbol-19.org/view_doc.php?index=106

All I can relate this to is perhaps that FFEY-T, by the end of his life was very disillusioned by what he had fought for (there was a quote to this effect in the article re the chess set he received from Desmond Hubble).

I too have gotten this e-mail. An interesting fact about Einsteins' birthday that I had not known before.

Shelley speaks of many events on the 14th of March. How each piece of information will have significance is yet to be seen, but the ellipses in the final statement make me wonder if Einstein will hold importance over this second chapter, just as Luigi Galvani did in the first.
