battle la: no super 8 trailer Just saw Battle Los Angeles, and there was no Super 8 trailer.
The movie wasn't that good either, plot all full of holes and unoriginality.

That's disappointing. Been checking trailer websites - no change there either.

Let's think here. Inevitably, something is supposed to happen on 3/11/11. If it's not Battle: LA, either before or after the movie, perhaps there's a different movie where the trailer is shown? Other than that, the only thing I can think of is the re-launch of RocketPoppeteers.com or a change on the Super-8 Website. Any thoughts?

The @Super8Movie Twitter just got a promoted Tweet to the top of my feed -
"http://www.super8-movie.com #Super8Movie"
Doesn't seem to be any changes on that site though.

From what I'm seeing so far, nothing has changed. Speculation suggests that we either may have missed something, or whatever is supposed to happen, hasn't happened yet. Guess we have to wait...

The website has some clips of a 1962 film, I suspect we are on the hunt for more.

Oh my god I'm so excited, I got goosebumps watching that. Didn't it look like there was a short shot of the group of kids running out of some cave or tunnel? Maybe I'll have to watch that again. I haven't been able to find anything in regards to S8EDITINGROOM.COM yet. Has anyone else?
forget that last part, I trout myself.
Is anyone able to make out what's written on the film at the ending and the beginning of the reel?

Worth noting that individual theaters/managers sometimes have the option of showing or not showing certain trailers before films unless they are "attached" to the actual print of the film itself.
Twodten, it's possible your theater either didn't show or possibly didn't have it yet in their possession to screen (given your 'early' screening time).
Comadarkvale, often press screenings will not show trailer previews at all since the studio is, in effect, renting the particular theater for their screening. Often they don't want to promote others' films since they want their screened film to be THE star of the preview. Also, like above, many times they have their print of the film to screen for you and nothing else — it's quite normal. Disappointing maybe, but normal for such previews.
