Is this thread suppose to be in game? If so then talking about knowing about updates, would be a pretty bad idea. If this thread is an OOG discussion of the story and what is going on, then no, there is nothing wrong with mentioning it.

A middle ground, would be to put a warning of some kind on either this thread, or post, or use spoiler warnings/tags, so people can stay away from sensitive OOG information.

At least that is how I see it... time to continue my lurkation.

To my knowledge this thread and entire forum is completely OOG

Except the characters read it.

My understanding, which may be utterly wrong, is that it's generally IG until we start talking about OOG things. IG, I believe both EMH and HABIT lurk here.

I am often uncomfortable talking about things like the aforementioned site, which I admittedly think I'm guilty of doing recently. I resisted its lure for months and now I check it constantly. But I do think maybe any discussion of any information gleaned from such a source should be behind spoiler bars or something.

Just for the sake of completeness, the 10:46 tweet:

HABIT wrote:
Trial Five (2/2) shall be released within the hour. You have until Thursday. That is all for now.

And the email:

HABIT wrote:
TRIAL FIVE (PART 2/2)

I HOPE YOU'VE SPENT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME ON YOUR GIFT.

YOU MUST NOW PRESENT THE GIFT TO THE RECIPIENT, IF YOU HAVE NOT YET DONE SO. EITHER WAY, YOU MUST DOCUMENT YOUR RECLAIMING OF THE GIFT. TELL THEM THAT THIS IS A SYMBOL OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP AND OF YOUR LOVE. AND DESTROY IT. YOU HAVE UNTIL THIS THURSDAY, THE SEVENTEENTH AT NOON, TO UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION. REMIND THEM WHO MADE YOU DO IT.

SEND ME A NEW EMAIL MESSAGE WITH THE LINK FOR CONFIRMATION.

A pity HABIT did not opt for the most hardcore solution: Make the Rabbits eat their gift on-camera, then, through a mouthful of blood and broken teeth, before the blackness takes them, mumble, "HABIT made me do it."

On a tangential note, how many batches of cookies must I make, HABIT?

I, too, was kind of hoping he'd go for the hard option. Looks like ol' HABbie is losing his edge.

And I would like a cookie, please.

Oh man, I so knew we'd have to pull a card-crusher. Which is exactly why I made my gift out of the picture itself. Very Happy

They're not for you. I'm trying to attract the attention of our quasi-demonic friend for an invigorating discussion of life, love and Rebecca Black. There have been several progressively-increasing cookie offers made; so far he has not taken the bait.

Where did you find enough babies' tears and crushed hopes to bake multiple batches of cookies for HABIT? He doesn't really seem to be a chocolate chip or oatmeal-raisin kind of guy-like thing.

I don't appreciate your negative attitude.

I considered doing a sort of Alan Rickman Die Hard thing and resorting to something like, "HABIT, I will kill one hostage every hour on the hour...", but there are two problems with that approach. The first being that there are no hostages. The second being HABIT would love a hostage situation.

That is quite a conundrum. There is just no getting on HABIT's good side is there?

Maybe you should threaten to spend an afternoon giving balloons to kids in the park. I bet he hates random acts of kindness.

And make a huge sign that says "FREE BALLOONS AND ICE CREAM. HABIT MADE ME DO IT"

or something along that line

Although if you then ate all the icecream and popped all the baloons, you'd probably win the trial.

Ah, but I'm not a Rabbit. Just a ridiculously invested bystander.

All of your attention to detail and innovative concepts are much appreciated in this sensitive matter.
