I know it's gone dead! Well I might as well take a stab... All the "u" and "k" in the postcard makes me think "nuke" but maybe its the news.

No one has broken the bic pen cypher/code... that could be a key date or location I think. Too bad I am awful at them!

Anyone in the NYC who got a key, message me. Maybe we should take a field trip soon.

I emailed Loki and got a reply in like 5 min...

Quote:
Here is what it seems like:
The 5 bus tickets are linked to the maps of the routes. They are coming from Islamabad.
That is where the id is stamped as well. Salim looks like he is sending out people to pick up something at the key. We don't know when, or exactly where, or we would intercept.

The postcard is High Bridge aqueduct, built 1868, postcard taken 1908. I found the bridge postcard here http://www.celebrateboston.com/postcard/bridges.htm. Wikipedia for High Bridge notes its importance to NYC water supply.

The bic pen is a mystery to me, but maybe not to others.

Is there anyone, like these agents after you, who could help to find Salim? I can contact them with a tip, see if they can find anything. They wouldn't know your involvement.

I don't know if this is helpful, but its better than nothing.

Thank you for your diligence.

I'm glad someone out there is on top of things. I'm afraid we might be too late.

I think the bic pen code might be used to decode the numbers on the maps.

I'm going to get to the bottom of this.

Thanks, Friend.

You will hear form me soon.

So new info... any takers? And top/bottom connection?

Received a job placement email from Meg Sarah Street with subject "Congratulations!". Leads to what-the-shirt.com. Nothing hidden in the email

Interested if people were given different job placements or if t-shirt designer is the standard.

Looking over the site now.

Ok, noticed that the site didn't work, and clicked on other links. Saw more Urdu. Inquired at the email address provided and they replied with a doc of the Urdu. Ran it through Google Translate and this was the result:

The most merciful Islamic Greetings 20 July 2011 This is my will: I want to be Salim Khel evidence service in this land my last world, if I have failed. I saw that my country azazyl West Bank Act a dog is great. I very much fear in Pakistan alliance between Zionist Israel is America's soldiers. This is my commitment, transfer of Allah willing, that is the balance of power in the region.

As you can see, it was not quite as clear as the last translation.

Decided I would join since the filter at work now allows me to access the full features of the site and I hate double/triple-posting so the editing will be a bonus.

Interesting capitalization in some emails so not sure if they are trying to hide something or not. Figured I would quote the back and forth for future reference. I decided to take myself further into the game and act as if everything is real, so the below is the result of that.

Attempting to select shirts leads to an error, however I was wondering if you could send me a copy of the text (I'm assuming it's Urdu) that is on your contact and about page. I've been doing a bit of research and am very intrigued in what it says.

I'm glad odd-jobs placed you!

A question for you though, what can YOU do for what-the-shirt?

Well, I'm not so good on the web design side of things, but I am good at noticing errors as I mentioned previously. If you need me to I can take care of polling groups of people to find out which designs they find more appealing than others. Thank you very much for the attached document, it was quite interesting. Thank you as well for giving me the opportunity to work with your company. I think it could be a very rewarding experience.

I have noticed some problems with those errors, we've got people looking at it.

Hey guys so ages back I looked on kevin stones website to see if there were any clues here and i saw a whole bunch of websites in his webdesign portfolio that looked a little suss. I googled them and couldn't find anything so i just dropped it, but now that we are directed to this what-the-shirt site, which was amoung them, i think there might be more to it.

Now that we know this is part of the game, maybe we can get some further clues as to where its going from the other sites on the site, which is kstonedesign.com

One site that stood out to me is the New York eagle site, which has a heading typeface that looks like it may be the same as the one on the top of the newspaper article about John Smith that was received in the initial sent out package.

I emailed, got the same response but with the following capitalization:

We founded this business Six years ago. Just Two artists and a dream! Working Nine to Five, missing birthdays, bar mitzvahs and many many anniversaries! We struggled for Three years, but finally we made our dream come true. We strive to be a cutting edge, family based company, and we're always looking for another member!

So 6 2 9 5 3

So I clicked the t-shirt page at what-the-shirt in that order and.... bam!

Card deck!!

Very Happy

Nice. Funny how the numbers were staring me in the face, both from Salim's id, and that email, and I thought nothing of them.

I reckon everyone will get t-shirt designer. I like how most of the shirts on the site seem to be references to what's happened in the game so far.

I got to the cards on the site but can't figure out for the life of me what to do with them. I'm wondering if they could indicate some sort of order again, but i really don't know what for with there being such a limited amount of different cards.

Here's the layout of them anyway;
Quote:
10, 9, 4, 10, 9, 4, 10, 9, 4, 10
9, 4, 8, A, 10, 10, 8, 2, 3, 9
8, 9, 10, 8, 10, 3, 9, 6, 3, 6
9, 2, 2, 3, 8, 10, 3, 2

I tried simply matching them with the corresponding letters in the alphabet, but no luck.

I'm good in solving codes but I found is this:

All 9 Clubs, 10 Clubs and 3 Spades are marked.
There are 12 different Cards.
Spades 9 and Clubs 29
C10, C9, C4 Are repeating four times at the beginning.

Card Count
C9 x7
C10 x5
C8 x5
C4 x4
S10 x4
C3 x3
C6 x2
C2 x2
S3 x2
S2 x2
CA x1
S9 x1

Code:

C10   C9   C 4   C10   C 9   C 4   C10   C9   C4   C10
C 9   C4   C 8   C A   S10   S10   C 8   C2   C3   S 9
C 8   C9   C10   C 8   S10   C 3   C 9   C6   S3   C 6
C 9   S2   C 2   C 3   C 8   S10   S 3   S2

Good to know that my 20+ years of work experience qualifies me as a T-shirt designer... Wink
