 		Hey guys, I just asked something to him, and he's given me a pretty interesting response

"If you were given the choice, would you rather ditch all remaining humanity in you, and become a full minion, or regain all of your humanity and forget any of this ever happened?"

Uhhh... Have you seen his videos? Have you read his responses? This is a unit of a collective with total devotion to a faceless being and with next to no emotions.
Your usual definition of insanity? Not exactly, but still not someone with one-hundred percent of their marbles.

 		So it's potentially like old school vampirism - in order for Noah to be subsumed into the Observer collective, he must be driven to an emotional and psychological breaking point where he allows assimilation willingly. Like when a vampire's victim had to invite them in.

I tossed a couple questions at it as well, we'll see if they get answered. On an OOG note this is a very well-done interface so far, and the responses are careful, disciplined and smart. I kinda wish EMH had done something similar with HABIT but then I guess one game or the other would be stuck biting the other's style, and that's no fun.

It also indicates that it "used" to have/know Milo - and his mother? Does this mean Milo is no longer part of the collective? Because that suggests death, except I still don't think Milo is dead.

[He] used to be Milo, therefore he used to know Milo and his mother, however now he is them, the Observer.

I take the opposite interpretation. The Tall One doesn't cause distortion on cameras consciously any more than a rock tossed into a pond deliberately makes the ripples happen. The ripples are just the inevitable result of the rock plunging into the pond, the force of its impact against the water disrupting the water's surface. That'd imply that (in TT at least) Slendy is a visitor from another dimension, passing through. The distortion is the inevitable result of him passing through our dimension.

That'd also explain why he's sometimes a dude in a suit, sometimes a tentacled dude in a suit, and sometimes just a mass of tentacles; he looks differently because we never see all of him, just the segment that happens to coincide with the plane of our universe. (Anyone here ever read Flatland?)

Exactly this. I think this (sort of) could apply to all of the SlenderARGs. Admittedly, there's not a 100% guarantee they all decided on the same route with WHY Slenderman causes distortion, but it seems like something that happens, not something he consciously affects. His jumps through time/space seem to imply pretty explicitly that he's extra-dimensional in some respect, and that would inevitably cause some strange circumstances for our universe (electromagnetism, shifts in mental stability, radiation, etc.)

One immensely cool possible outcome of this would be something akin to the Improbability Drive in the Hitchhiker's Guide, where jumps happen, but certain things just... change. Could possibly explain Slendy's multiple 'forms' in TT, as well. [/random_musings]
