I'd say:

1: Marble Hornets, still the best.
2: Tribe Twelve, really got good after the grandpa karl video.
3: EverymanHYBRID: Hilarious when it needs to be, but scary when it needs to be. Tad convoluted, though.
4: Dark Harvest: Not much to say, just really well done in general, having THREE VERSIONS of Slenderman running around is a bit much, though.

Like I said, I definitely see your complaints. But Angel's Game has some great moment, and they're really trying to bring the audience in with the facebook chat going on. I could definitely see putting it behind Dark Harvest and moving Dark Harvest up. Would that be better?

I would think so, yes. Haha.

Maybe I was being a bit too rash saying to take it off the list, because I do have to admit the slow slender in that one video did creep me out.
Yeah it does have it's moments. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I wouldn't rate it so high.

Agreed with regard to the "snowman Slender Man" in Dark Harvest; I love the series so far, but that still kind of gets me. I loved the last two videos though, they made it worth showing to friends.

I'd have to say mine goes

1. Marble Hornets (Of course, the classic, and pretty much the start of all the vlogs)

2. EverymanHYBRID (Some flaws, but I don't find it that difficult to follow. There are a lot of sub plots but it's not like any of them are overly complicated at all. Just pay attention and it'll be fine)

3. Dark Harvest / Tribe Twelve (Dark Harvest may surpass Tribe Twelve. It's latest videos were really good. Tribe Twelve definitely takes the cake for effects though, and some of the videos are pretty creepy. It's a tie, in my book.)

4. MLAnderson (Could go really well. I'm liking it so far, but it hasn't really had enough time to develop to say for sure which way it's gonna go)

I haven't really watched/followed any other series very closely, so I'll stick with those five.

1. EverymanHYBRID - Great acting, seems to know where it's going, convoluted, but I like that

2. MarbleHornets - Pretty much ties with EverymanHYBRID, but I think it has gotten a bit lost in itself, but it looks like it's about to pick up a whole bunch.

3. DarkHarvest0 - Got off to a rough start, but it seems to have the ball rolling now. Let's just hope they can keep it up.

4. MLAndersen0 - Good acting, good Slender Man, but it doesn't have enough distinguishing qualities to keep it from falling into the crowd.

My number one choice would be TribeTwelve. It started slow, but once it moved out of the MH homage territory, it went above and beyond expectations. The Observer's videos are genuinely unsettling, and I personally feel that Tribe Twelve's plot has the perfect balance of coherentness, and mystery. The Observer character is also VERY intriguing, and I like where the series is being taken.

My number two choice is, of course, EverymanHYBRID. Since the last video, I'd be fairly inclined to say that it is equal with Tribe Twelve, but goddamnit I am making a decision. A lot of their actions have been very hit and miss with me: For instance, the most recent video has been very, very hit, but some of their ARG decisions have been poorly thought out, and badly planned. The Seven Trials of HABIT, of course, being what I'm talking about. At the moment, it is feeling fairly lethargic in pacing, which is either a timewaster to provide some form of content while they're pushing through a writer's block, or due to them not planning their trials ahead of time. I don't really hold it against them: The fact that they are still providing us with relatively steady content via a whole range of mediums after a YEAR is frankly astounding, and they are very, VERY high up there. I do however, feel that TT's more streamlined approach pushes it just that inch above.

MLAndersen would be my third choice. It's only starting off certainly, but it's already doing things differently, and doing them WELL.

Marble Hornets is nice too, I guess.

Emotionally, EMH is my #1. It's what I obsess over daily, what I participate in, it's the update I watch first. But I just can't bring myself to kick Marble Hornets out of the top slot. It was the progenitor, it was the first series I watched, and while not as interactive, it still does exactly what it wants with rigorous discipline. It is cold, hard, black, and razor sharp; EMH is more subversive-pop, but equally brilliant. Yet MH was here first and I loved it first and still love it. So.

1. Marble Hornets
2. EverymanHYBRID
3. TribeTwelve - it has become something so beyond its humble beginnings and with the recent Observer collective reveals has proven to be shockingly brilliant. The last video was also easily the best short abstract "hidden video "piece any Slendyseries has ever created, and could serve as an audition piece for the creator as an editor or graphic/video artist.

I also must mention my #4 - Dark Harvest, which is speedily improving from a rough start, and just took a narrative risk on par with both EMH and TT's latest in their "Log 14." My long pretentious post about it is in the DH thread.

Just for clarification, is it pretty much agreed upon that outsideagents isn't worth watching? I've heard mixed things.

Pfft. I've only seen Marble Hornets.

Some day I'll sit down and catch up with stuff like TribeTwelve. Just need some free time.

1. MarbleHornets - They will always be my #1 because they started the vlogs. Also very iconic story.
2. TribeTwelve - Great effects, compelling story, and real scares. Easily my #2.
3. EverymanHybrid - Awesome characters, but convoluted story. Still, it's #3.
4. MLAndersen0 - Very promising, acting is the best I've seen is any vlog to date.

HAI GUIS HERE'S MY MIGHTY LIST OF MY FAVORITE SLENDARMEN SERIESES.

1. 2080twentywightY - Great acting. No. Incredible acting. Points for animal abuse and the ragequit series deletion.
2. Jonclubs113 - Too scary for words. Love the lisp and the ending, or lack thereof. Ostracizing the fan base with out of game EMH hate videos was a good touch.
3. UnNatural Events - Masterful use of unneeded anime music. Unicorns, butthurt, and bastardized Ghost In The Shell symbols. What's not to love?

I've only watched MH and EmH

1. Everyman Hybrid. Why? Because it's the one that interests me the most, the one I think about most. Good acting, great characters, some great mindfuckery. They are actually an alternate reality game and reach out to their viewers. The series is far from perfect. It is a bit too all over the place. But the reason why it's all over the place, and why the characters don't make things as clear as possible, etc, is because they're trying to be as immersive as possible. This means bad pacing, occasional rudeness to viewers, concern over yourself over viewers, etc. They seem pretty committed to being as realistic as possible, and we play along because the story just interests us more. And I love the space-time mindfuckery.

2. Marble Hornets. The classic original. Everyone gives that as the reason why they listed them as #1. I don't see why that would be the case. Sure, it's how we all discovered the vlogs, but does that mean it's really the best? Is Elvis the greatest rock musician of all time? Being the first is not being the best.

It does, however, have the best directing, and most of all, best atmosphere. It is the scariest of the vlogs, the one that is most likely to give you nightmares. The acting, however, is terrible, and I feel like the writing is a bit unfocused at points. It does seem to reflect the state of paranoia the best.

So my list pretty much looks exactly like every one else's.
1) Marble Hornets: Still get chills from the head snap in Entry #1.
2) Everyman Hybrid: It does have a lot occurring but I'm so emotionally invested.
3) Dark Harvest: Log 14 is the shizz, enough said.
4) MLAndersen0: The psychological aspect/unreliable narrator are to die for.

Maybe one day when I have more time I can watch TribeTwelve, but the first couple times I attempted I just couldn't get into it.

Yeah, TT starts off bland. It gets better, though, and it does that in fewer videos than Angel's Game.
My ranking would be EMH > MH = TT > DH = AJ > the rest, which I haven't seen all of so can't judge.

1 - TribeTwelve - great scares, effects, and story, minus the acting.
2 - MarbleHornets - just because it came first doesn't mean it's superior. Season two is ruining it for me.
3 - AndersenJournals - very promising.
4 - EMH - Funny at times, but unrealistic not too scary, and way too convoluted to understand completely and fully enjoy.

Also, Nimbus, I love your top 3. Laughing
