Our relay code just expired, so we won't get the "Washington DC Axon Signal Corps" name in lights today Sad. Nevertheless, a great showing at Union Station today: 8/11 Axons hot, a live call, and INCyr part of the crew!

Kakashi is, as they say, "on his bike" and prepped with the latest passphrase and instructions to check in periodically. Cross your fingers re Washington Harbour!

Random [SPEC], but are the live calls are coming to axons where there is a duplication of time (i.e. two calls at a particular time, one recorded and one live)? If so, Kakashi may have a live call (50/50 chance)

Meh, Washington Harbour was a dud (i.e. not live, a recording, etc.etc.) But I still have 4 axons at Georgetown Cinema at 7 tonight if the last spike isn't taken by then...I can only keep my hopes up...or if not tonight then they'll put the cinema a little earlier in the future.

EDIT: is it just me or is Master Chief's name John-117? If that's the case then it's a mad coincidence that my numbers are the same...I've had them like that on diffrent names for over 4 years now...[/Pointless Pondering]

/me directs the Halo questions to the other denizens of this thread. And crosses fingers re evening at Georgetown Cinema.

You may need to apologize for ringing phones - even though Melissa has said the axons were cancelled the last two weeks (after the clip was released), in fact phones elsewhere kept ringing, so probably the cinema's was ringing too....

All done. I got the 16:10, all ready if it was live because we still had a spike left when I walked out the door 15 minutes before. Just a recording. Not a nice one, I might add.

I'm feeling the need to punish someone. With a VERY large gun.

All 4 at the G-town cinema were successes...though the ticket taker was eyeing me kinda weird after i answered the second phone. And he looked even more confused when, partway through the third phone, the fourth one rang, and I answered both of them. During the fourth call after the third was done, another phone rang...and I got kinda excited...untill I picked it up and it was a wrong number. That musta been kinda weird, having someone pick up the payphone ur calling as a wrong number going "hello" in a monotone voice.

Anyways, I hope they can move the Cinema axons earlier in the day so that I can get a chance to become a crew memeber...heck every other person from DC already is Shocked

I just recieved an Instant Message from Star Creator saying that he will help out whoever is going to the Silver Spring Axon tomorrow if it is still active. He said that the coordinates might mean the shopping center across the street.

Many thanks to Kakashi117 and Aliendial, the DC crew did well yesterday! The only axon in our area that is still active and will unlock a sound file is this one:

12:27 (3:27p EST) "13th and Jefferson Drive"
15:37 (6:37p EST) "Federal Center"
15:59 (6:59p EST) "Vermont Avenue"

Everything else was gotten: 23 of 33

I posted Chappy's summary to the main recipe4 thread.

Could someone else report and take credit for the proper DC team name in the team name thread?

Late lunch on Tuesday at Union Station (starts 10:22 PDT). With cameras. Yikes.

Union Station at 1:22 should JUST fit into my schedule, so count me in. I haven't looked at the other times yet, but I'll get my usual list.
If we need to transfer digital images during the hunt, we'll need camera phones (which I don't have) or a list of available public wifi spots. Anyone done any wardriving in DC?

OK, I was moving fast. And it includes one that was blank on the original chart - just a reminder we need to check this to confirm final times and places Tuesday morning.
