I can't pick one or the other; they both scare me in different ways. The Operator has a good habit of building tension and making me creeped out in every scene that he's in. When he's just standing there it's like "Is he going to do something... what's going on?!" As for Masky, when he shows up he does it very quickly and violently which adds to the "AHH OH GOD" shock factor.

The fact masky tucks Jay in during Entry #19 makes him either twice as adorable or twice as creepy. Possibly both.

Slendy? well, I'll admit, Entry #29 brought back the disdorted, surreal and terrifyng slendy I know and love (not the "HURR BUISNESSMAN OUT OF FOCUS slendy from prettymuch every other slender vlog out there) and Marblehornets has been able to keep him pretty damn creepy.

Masky we at least know is human, and has weaknesses. Slendy? We don't know anything about him in Marblehornets, making him stay scary. Thats why I love this series in favor of all the others.

Our slender friend, fullstop. Visually I even find some of his parodies kind of fringhting. SplendorMan can tap dance all he wants, I still don't trust him and his inhuman porportions.

Of course then there whole creepiness of the unknown thing. I don't know what he is, where he came from, or what in the hell he could possibly want. All I know is noone who encounters him end up better for it. The only possible explaintion I have for him is a creepy manifestion of paranoia itself.

As for Masky. I wont the deny that he is probably a lunatic, but i am not at all convinced that he isnt on Jay's side. On one hand it is hard to argue with BLEED MORE. On other he likes leaving clues, has lot of opertunies to attack jay that he doesn't, and this probably been mentioned but did he tuck jay in during entry 19 (i think)?

Neither of them are paticulairly safe, but I take by chance with the short, duranged Masky, than what ever the heck the the operator is

masky never seems to keep me awake at night. anyone can put a mask on and go insane, but frik. if i saw the operator in real life i would pee myslef.

the operator definitely scares me more. i don't care if he hasn't attacked yet in marble hornets, its just he makes me paranoid as crap all the time. i have dreams about him. masky just doesn't make me completely unsettled

Huh. I did not notice that until just now.

That's very disturbing.

DISTURBING.

Shocked

While the Operator is a bit creepy, he never actually does anything (active, at least), just stands and "looks" around. Masky on the other hand have attacked both J and Alex, which makes him a more real threat. From an outside-point-of-view I would say Masky, but assuming that this is real (which is kind of the point), I would say the Operator.

They're both scary in their own way. They both also have the mystery aspect. We don't know what why Masky wears the mask or does what he does and the speculation alone can be creepy if given enough thought. He is human, what happened to him could happen to anyone.

Operator is scary because he is inhuman and we don't understand him, and apparently he can't die either. He's unbeatable.

Generally speaking, Slender is scarier because he's, you know, a faceless tentacled monster who apparently drives people crazy by existing. Masky is a guy in a mask.

Although, I do get more paranoid about Masky when I'm in my house, simply because the ceilings are to low for Slender to stand up straight. All I can picture is him trying to slend into my room and bumping his head on the doorframe. Yeah. Very Happy

You say that now until you just see him do a creepy spider/crab walk like that ice cream truck driver guy from Legion

EDIT: I kind of even want to photoshop him in a suit and remove the face/hat

Slendy definitely is the scarier for me. As far as I've been able to establish Masky is just a human, maybe with some minor supernatural abilities for getting around.

Slendy on the other hand...where to start? At the risk of sounding like an absolute geek, to me he's the kobayashi maru of supernatural creatures: Wicked fast, unknown levels of power, the ability to control minds and wipe memories as well as cripple people with sickness.

He can't be caught, he can't be killed, he can't be reasoned with. Just a remorseless creature following you until you just vanish...

I'm going to blame The Tutorial and my overactive sense of self-preservation when I say Masky.
Irony, as I'm cosplaying Masky to ocd_reality's Slenderman. But in other news.

It has a lot to do with how I like to pretend Entry 14 doesn't exist, being really into costuming myself and laughing at how stupid our slender-friend looks up close (one could say it's hard to make them. Well, it is. I'm making one, it's hard. But to that, I say fake blood much?).
And, without that, we haven't seen him directly hurt anyone. I have my own theories concerning Entry 29 which means that The Operator didn't do it. So yeah, he watches me through my window. I can deal with that. I'd be more concerned about the memory loss since my recent brush with DID (I know, another girl on the internet claiming this, but I'm still in therapy and they're trying to determine if I'm really screwed up or if I'm just really bipolar) had me losing small segments of time, up until an hour once. Need to keep that out of my life as much as possible.
Also, I read The Tutorial, and I have an easily accessible roof and a close-by city. I know they're not necessarily associated, but it makes me feel better.

Masky, on the other hand, has a knife. As much as I like to crack-ship him with Jay I know he has a knife, and he has a physical presence, and I am a weakling and have a serious weakness for knives turned against me. Just the idea of him being there...ugh. I don't care if he's watching me, he can watch me all he wants, I'm not terribly interesting. But the idea of actually being attacked is scary.

Besides, I'm pretty sure if Slenderman wanted to kill me, removing my organs would get me pretty damn quickly. I'm not necessarily scared of dying - just of getting there.

The Operator is way scarier than masky. Masky has his moments, but like alot of people have said, he's too human. He's not nightmare fuel like the operator. The operator makes me check the corners in a dark room, make sure my doors are locked, and be freaked out in my back yard at night (lol). not masky. The operator knows no boundaries, and can do whatever he/it wants.
