 		My theory regarding the Geiger counter: It was going off (perhaps Jeff turned it on when he picked it up) at the same time Slenderman was causing distortion in the camera, hence why the distortion sounded like the geiger counter.

Corenthal (possibly us modern day) = Guardian. Somewhat obvious. He's the only one that doesn't really fit the 'prophecy' as of now, but only due to the lack of known 'loss of blood'. Losing the boys was probably well like losing his heart, and it wouldn't surprise me to find out that he went out in a blaze of martyrdom ... or the more likely scenario that his life after the ordeal was wrecked and he likely would have felt like he'd be better dead due to the trauma and lingering traces of slenderf***kery. And, for the final scoop of soil onto this sapling (not to mention to try to tie it in to the present cycle) - we, as the rabbits (and as the treasure hunters, so to speak) are a third party who are putting themselves in a massive amount of danger souly for the benefit and protection of the boys.

ante-addendum: like I said, this isn't especially likely ... but maybe looking at as many angles as possible will help us make this connection that we seem to have missed.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that I was inspired by your post there. I just don't think Corenthal is in the same category as the other two.

I didn't mean to imply anything by it ... i just kind of figured we came up with two similar theories independantly and I didn't want to feel left out ^_^. And, themematically speaking ... I think yours makes more sense. That is, that the personae either represent the three (mostly) mortal boys or the three (mostly) inhuman players. Alas, for some reason I have difficulty thinking of the rake as his own character rather than as an extension of one of the others. I think of him being controlled by someone ... granted most of that impression comes from how HABIT has spoken of him, and HABIT isn't exactly a font of reliable information (though I should also point out that I truly hope that 'the guardian' does end up being a more concrete good guy ... because if Slendy is their guardian than chances are they're irrevocably screwed on a cosmic level)
Which does beg the question - have we been given any hints as to the nature of the Rake? I mean, we at least know some details on how HABIT and Man tie in the the backstory ... has there been anything mentioned about the rake having been part of things before, or is he a new developement for this cycle? Is there enough evidence for us to start planting some trees about exactly how he fits into the grand scheme of things?

 		The cards from box 5 help put faces to the names in the book, in my opinion. That does not mean that they can't ALSO be used to reference the antagonists as well.

The cards have drawings on the faces of the names. Vince and Evan's imparticular can be linked to the Voyeur and Firebrand respectively. Jeff is the one that carries less weight, but his HEART is guarded for sure and he is extremely protective of what he has left.

As for the antagonists, I could see Slendy being the Voyeur as he really just watches, The Rake is a Guardian for Habit, and Habit is the Firebrand.

As an aside, I never received any kind of response from the EMH crew about my find. Crying or Very sad

 		About the CHARACTER cards/etc: It's possible for them to represent both one of the guys and one of the entities at the same time, yeah. Also note that the easiest connections pair up easily by which guy has what connection with whom: Fairmount Vinnie had the history most blatantly referencing Slenderman (VOYEUR), Jeff's own house was home to the Rake for awhile (GUARDIAN), and HABIT is more than likely Evan (FIREBRAND), so it works.
About the "geiger counter": That is a really good idea and I was prepared to consider it, but first hunch said Evan's camera, and I just reread the '81 Corenthal letter:

it's my camera, it has high resolution and im just too lazy to resize it! but since you pointed it out, i shall fix this one too!! Very Happy
