HORNETS

PROBABLY IRRELEVANT BUT DAMN CREEPY COINCIDENCE

Au contraire. Something to note is that the original meaning of the project's name was never fully explained. Jay speculated, but we were never given a coherent answer.

Furthermore, I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but two things of note are that:

A: The way this entire video has been built up and presented, it might not have been Jay (or at least not Jay in sound mind) posting it. I, personally, feel this is much more TTA-ish.

B: The Operator never physically appears in the films. He seems, to me, much more like an aftereffect. (As opposed to the "original" tapes when he was just in the background.) The Operator symbol implies something, but I'm a bit reluctant to jump at the obvious.

Of course, this may just be due to OOG skill evolutions, but even in some of the earlier season 2 entries, the Operator was there physically, rather than as some sort of overlay alone (cross-dimensional stalking, anyone?).

I like it. Two out of the last 3 entries have confirmed theories that have been out there for awhile ... it feels like the story is coming together!

I was expecting this entry to be a big game-charger and a high point in the series. Instead, we get something that confirms something that seemed pretty logical anyway, that I'm sure most people probably thought of at one point anyway. Not trying to hate, but this practically seemed like filler to me.

OT: Thankfully, Andersen Journals really brought it tonight.

I think this was pretty big. It tells us something we'd never actually even had implied before: that Alex was stalked as a kid. There'd been no allusions to Alex's history previously, so this is pretty hefty -- and debunks a number of already-existing theories as to why the Operator was stalking Alex. I don't think "most people" took it for granted that Alex was stalked. It was a possibility that previously had no evidence supporting it, after all.

Turns out our slender friend was just doin' his thang, after all.

I'm pretty sure Jay posted this in his trance/fugue state - hence misspelling. Perhaps he has become another TTA/masked figure and sort of changed mid-tweets?

Hey, long time lurker, first post.

1. Anyone notice the kid in a Spongebob shirt? Around 10 seconds in? I'm pretty sure that show didn't start until 1999.

2. What if Jay IS Totheark? Perhaps he's had more cases of memory-loss than he claims to have, and during this time he has made and uploaded the videos? Perhaps he suffers from some kind of split-personality disorder? Or maybe he's fully conscious of the fact that he's TTA and has other motives? Just speculating...

I think it is more likely that TTA or whoever hijacked the MarbleHornets account posted this than Jay. The way the operator symbol flashes on Alex's face seems more like some creepy thing edited in than something caused by Operator distortion. Although, the similarity between "enttry #37" and "sllee pno.w" supports that it was Jay, still with a bad headache, TTA might just be mocking Jay's condition. Or maybe, Jay is TTA! Probably not though.

It was definitely Jay who posted it. The way "entry" is spelled gives it away.

Even if the operator symbol was edited in after the recording, who ever said the tapes hadn't been tampered with before Jay came across them?

If it weren't for the video description, I'd totally be sure Jay posted this. But the whole "memories" thing is really throwing me off. Even with a major headache, that's not something Jay would say, especially on a video like this.

I don't think this is the video Jay was reluctant to post...

It seems like something he would say if he's one of those kids. And considering the fact that he's a little out of it at the moment.

Hmm... looked for something important that could have happened on the first few dates, but there wasn't anything special. I'm thinking it's a number puzzle of some sort. Will do more work in the morning.

Does anyone else think the voice of whoever is holding the camera singing happy birthday sounds both REALLY creepy and Out Of Place?

Also, I think it's safe to assume something bad happened to Jay. He uploaded this...with the description as 'Memories'. But he hasn't updated his twitter or anything, so... :<

Perhaps. But perhaps (speculating wildly here) this video has stirred some "memories" from his blank period?
