Something tells me this is NOT the thing that made J want to stop looking through the tapes.. I think someone (or something) else posted this.

Dates go...

Apr 4 - 1991
Jun 3 - 1900
May 17 - 1988(?)
Sep 4 - 1991
Sep 4 - 1991
Mar 3 - 1981
Apr 4 - 1991

Also, does anytone else notice that the man singing with the low voice sounds frighteningly femilliar to our echo/mimic voice in Entry #23?

Looking closely at it, I'd say that third one is 1908.

Also, about the creepy slow-mo voice singing happy birthday, perhaps it does have an accent? Kralie sounds like a Celtic name to me.. Maybe Papa Kralie is an imigrant (and also perhaps is the one holding the camera)?

Throwing this out here.

The Operator has been with Alex since he was a kid. By watching him, he learns to be more human. This may just be an instance where he was learning how to speak. This video may have been an attempt by the Operator to use technology for the first time, hence why the entry title is different than the others.

But who knows.

So going by the theory that SM DID stalk Alex as a child, I actually think it makes some sense that Alex wouldn't have remembered him.

There are multiple videos from the filming of Marble Hornets that Jay is in but doesn't remember. And what is the common denominator? SM appears in the video. Obviously, we've seen that people tend to lose their memory when they're around SM. Even if Alex had seen SM as a kid, he probably had his memory of the incident erased. But then he started filming around his home for Marble Hornets, and when he looked back over the tapes there was SM. Seeing him again either brought back the memories or just revealed that he had some severe memory loss. This would explain why he began to obsessively record himself: he was afraid of forgetting anything and he was trying to prove this theory correct.

The only question (still) is what SM's goal is. Why is he just following Alex around instead of doing anything? Even if Alex has figured out some sort of defense NOW, I doubt he could have defended himself as a child.

Ugh... so creepy. Jay had better watch out. I think it's possible that he was stalked as a kid too, but it seems more likely to me that he just got drawn into this mess. It doesn't seem like SM likes to be remembered very much.

I know MH doesn't follow the traditional Slendy myths, like kidnapping kids.
But maybe he did try to kidnap Alex and is now pissed at him because he got away all those years ago?

The distorted image of Slendy is looking towards the Camera.

So (wild assumption) that perhaps Alex's father (or whoever it was filming) was the target of Slendy's attention at that moment?

The current man behind the camera at that time?

Also it would have been so much more creepier if this entry had a Entry 17 moment and Slendy was in the shot somewhere instead of the distortion.

Oh well.

He's following him to the ark?

Not sure if this is just because of how its slowed down, but it sounds like the man with the camera has an accent of some sort.

Listen to how he says "Dear Alekkkkkkkkzzzz" and the last "Too" In happy Bday to you.

Well reading all that took a good 2 hours. I like to stay on top of discussion, even if I wasn't able to watch the video last night.

Anyway, I remember someone noting that some of the dates related to "naval" stuff. I seem to catch anything water-related in this series, like how I noticed the distortion surrounding the water bottle, creeks, rain/lack of rain when Jay goes to the house in entry 34 and 35. It probably is just all coincidence and doesn't mean a thing (and perhaps some are red herrings). But I do like to point of anything I notice since you never know what actually might be important.

Also, I know this may be slightly off topic, but am I the only one now doubting how many "players" there are here, especially since we don't know "who" uploaded this entry? What I mean is, sure, there's Alex, Jay (who may or may not have more than one personality), Tim, and Slendy who have had more significance on camera lately. There's also Jessica and Brian, though. And for some reason, I can't get those two out of my head. I used to subscribe to the idea that TTA is Tim/Masky, but as the entries go on, I'm growing less certain, though I really don't know who TTA is.

As for my two-cents, I really liked this entry. Season 2 has so far been written and filmed better than Season 1 in some respects. However, I would like to have a clue of Alex's and Tim/Masky's motives.

tl;dr Some dates relate to "naval" stuff, which may connect to the recurring water theme. Because of the recent twitter updates and the difference in style from the rest of the entries, I am growing less certain of who is who (is Tim TTA? etc) and their apparent significance.

I was checking the original Slender Man thread on the SomethingAwful forums and I came across a post from Jay(as user Ce Gars) where he gave basically the same explanation of the tapes he gives in the Introduction video but he included one piece of information that ties in with this Entry

"Which struck me as very odd since he had been living around that area since he was eight, and never seemed to have a problem with it."

Here's a screenshot of the post with this bit of information highlighted
Marble hornets post[/img]

So Alex had been living in near the set of Marble Hornets since he was a kid. Not sure what to make of it.

Theory: Cameras don't attract Slenderman, it's just that no one can ever remember a Slender sighting, and recording it is the only way to know it happened. He actually appears regularly.

Shocked

Anyways, really enjoyed the video, watched it just before bed. Not really what I expected, but I can still see this as being a "I don't wanna go any further now" video. It's one thing thinking Slenderman has been stalking someone you know for three four years, it's another to know that he's been stalking him for what could very well be his entire life. Much more hopelessness.

OT theory time: Alex first encountered The Operator at this Birthday (or shortly there after) for the next year or so his The Operator began attepmting to do....whatever it is that he does to Alex. The Operator is somehow stopped, and in the process Alex loses his memory. Come the time he's in Film School, making Marble Hornets, he is shot by a camera, one with some of the tape of him during the first encounter with The Operator. Though Alex doesn't regain his memory, he sees The Operator whilst walking his dog, and a strange sort of.....nolstagia one could call it, washes over him. The man in the suit seems so familiar. But The Operator isn't interested in him anymore, not at first. Alex starts looking into his childhood, starts investigating where he might know the man from. Memory starts to slowly seep back in. He does something involving the Symbol to try and summon it, try to get it to come forward. The Operator comes, at first he simply stays a healthy distance away, and then he begins showing up at his house, and the first stages of what everyone calls Slendy Sickness move to a further level, as The Operator begins draining the memories from Alex. In a vain attempt to get rid of it, he confides in everyone around him, perhaps they confronted him, asking about the man in the suit that keeps showing up. Jay and maybe a couple of the others remain silent, they are healthy, but Tim, Brian, Seth, and Alex all decide to find out exactly what The Operator is. It doesn't work, Seth Gets taken by The Operator, Brian most likely fell to the same fate, Tim's mind was warped beyond recognition, and then only Alex remained. Doing whatever it was that he did, he gets rid of his memories, of Tim's, and vanishes.

That's my theory, the TLDR is that Alex was chased by The operator at a young age and they stopped him. He regains memory of those events and becomes obsessed, in the process causing Brian and Seth to be killed, and Tim to go insane. When he left he somehow managed to wipe his and Tim's memories.

On the topic of naval stuff, this isn't the first time we've seen this sort of thing. Remember November 2009? Specifically, TTA's response to Entry 18, Messages? "You have been keeping secrets", "smile for the camera", etc. The footage there was the sinking of the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor, a rather important naval disaster. I'm throwing this out there, and the day of the sinking doesn't match up with any of the dates in the timewarp, but you never know. It may be important.

Theory: This is the first time that Alex was filmed, so this is the first time Slendy showed up. (Was he there before? I think it's quite possible, but it's hard to be certain.) We know Slendy has some kind of attraction to film, or at least seems to here.

Alex starts filming a movie. In the process he catches himself on camera. Slendy may have been there all along with him, or might have just realized what was happening, but hey, it's one of his favorite people, filming things! So of course he shows up for the event...

Alex leaves and seems to be doing fine. Then he's caught on film again, and IMMEDIATELY Slendy shows up.

It's the film cameras.
