Comics and Keys In the note that was found at FFSH, theres that awkward looking hole in the middle of the page. Its been mentioned before, but it looks like a key hole.
Maybe you are supposed to line up the keyhole to the pages of the comic book to reveal a message.
Or maybe, you are supposed to put the keyhole around each of the little scribbles in the earlier posted picture with TROGL on it.
Or maybe Im beginning the perilous journey to the decimation of my own reality.

How about geocache sites around Aleinn?
I've only recently been looking into geocaching and am still learning how it all works.
From what I've found on the net is that "most" of the caches have been removed due to safety concerns of the cachers following the trail.
Apparently theres over 1000 of them on the ET highway.

I always find it suspicious that there are all these veterans on this site spending what seems like every waking minute researching the ARG with an ability to decipher the most obscure clue, and then a guest or 'boot' suddenly uncovers some huge piece of the puzzle before anyone else gets close. Like 'xumx' with the FFSH staircase: http://goo.gl/wBWRt
Maybe all this talk of alien cover-ups has made me paranoid.
Ahh...you are ruining my moment I live in Poland (different time zone) and this is first time i was online when something relevant happend I wasn't wasting my time and googled a lot of things and found it :]

Sorry, didn't mean to ruin anything. It's very impressive. I'm mostly jealous because I keep trying to outdo the veterans and they beat me at every turn!

Just outside the Inn is the ID4 marker. It was placed here by the producers of the 1996 movie, "Independence Day" which was set in Area 51. The film was shot in Utah. Studio executives, members of the cast and dignitaries from the state of Nevada were among those who came to Rachel for the unveiling of the marker and ceremony naming Highway 375 as the "Extraterrestrial Highway". The inscription on the monument is illegible in the photo because its also illegible, even with my best glasses, in person. Such are the ravages of time.

Just for the heck of it, since no one else seems to have done it (Trout me if so) here is the inscription:
On the eighteenth day of April, A.D.1996
Twentieth Century Fox hereby dedicates
this time capsule and beacon
for visitors from distant stars
to the State of Nevada and the
"Extraterrestrial Highway."
This time capsule will serve as a beacon,
to be opened in the year A.D.2050,
by which time the interplanetary travellers
shall be regular guests of our planet Earth.
Governor Bob Miller of the State of Nevada
Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation
The filmmakers and cast of INDEPENDENCE DAY

alrighty, so i went on google maps and put in the following:
37.75125 , -115.042
i put the little orange guy on the map and there is a sign next to the road and nothing else really around. can anyone see what it says? its too pixely for me when i zoom in. maybe if we can find related images to whatever the sign says, we can find the one that corresponds to the symbols written on the map (the ones near the coordinates).

Well, one connection between the comic and map is Rachel. Its the name of the town the Aleinn is in as well as the boat that rescues the crew at the end.
Trying to find the honeypot....

mach1monorail - when I put those coordinates in google earth I just got a spot on highway 318 running through flat ground. I couldn't find a sign.
Melodyman - the Rachel connection could be something. Of course this ARG is full of possible connections.

Perhaps this is pointing in the direction of a cypher to reveal more clues:

I thought the same thing . Maybe I should go back and look at the TROGL page in that Moby Dick comic.

Rachel/Alamo NV I've been out to Rachel NV and the 'inn a couple times for breakfast when I visit Las Vegas. It's a great lil restaurant and some of the best desert scenery I have seen. IF the second spot is half way between vegas and Rachel it could be Alamo. Thats the town about 40 miles from Rachel and the last stop for gas . ALSO there is the "alien research center" near there in a quonset hut. It's more of a kitchy touristy place but could have some tie in as well. I'll post pics of the areas soon.
Third if I remember my Las Vegas Aviation Sectional map there is an old army airfield just to the north of Alamo that might be something too

There is only one spot on the map and it's Rachel. There is road with X and drawing of building but they are both the same place.
