Got the zip Smile

Lady Ariella is quite a piece of work - one arrogant gal, but then that is the world Smile

I haven't read the books, but found some information on the world in roleplaying books (search for the Hawkmoon RPG if you are interested)

EDIT: Found some more interesting info on our Bellerophon sculture - this one is a 1/3 size prototype of the final (info on google books):
http://bit.ly/gu1fU5

No luck yet on password... have tried a number of things to do with the railway lines, liverpool street station, the sculture, and the myth of Bellerophon taming Pegasus

Edit: just got a response to my email:
Kalan in an email wrote:
Lady Ariella del Rosa,

It seems we have mutual goals then for the time being.

I send you a token which includes part of a mystery I have been working upon. Perhaps you can help unlock its inner workings. The map is ancient be careful with it, it comes from a time before Granbretan was the empire it is today.

Baron Kalan of Vitall.

With the same attachments (map, token and zip) that amandel received.

(Edited to put in shortened URL for book link)

What's the password for the Kalan file? I keep getting them all mixed up. Could someone just e-mail it to me at Rilian257SPLAThotmail.com?

Thank you.

*Sighs and pouts*

I didn't get to read them all the first time around, which is maybe why I'm so confused and having to play catch-up now. Honestly, I've been sorta busy lately. Sorry.

Hi Zobot. Just go to Missing Wallace & click the link to the file. Louise has zipped our "New Token" to her fileshare also.

Wait...I hear "law". Whether enforced or transended I can not fathom. Possibly you can provide some insight here, Baron? .
And Baron Kalan van Vitall replied: Your is reward is obvious dear Lady to serve the Empire, that should be your only goal, I do not know this "law" you speak of. I am sending another token to you hopefully this one will be easier on your powers of blue.

Another has contacted me with similar claims of help, she has identified herself as a friend of yours called: Lady Louise of Koln. I am aware of her since it was at my suggestion she be placed in her current post after Hawkmoon was captured.

I was not aware however of her seer like abilities but I trust her insofar that you can trust any woman.

Lady Louise will receive this token also. They are mysteries from the past, perhaps one of you can divine the answers.

The latest PW protected file is titled "2.7z". From this and Baron Freaky's reply it seems the 1 train and Columbia U. aren't PW likely for "1.7z". FWIW: am viewing Max as more slave driver/meglomaniac less murderer type. Wondering about COPS. too:

The Group are interested in this individual particularly for his advances in the science of Pantheistic Multi-Person Solipsism which if unpoliced could cause chaos within the general populace. Which in turn would disrupt control over the numbered.

Recent events show that Mr Drum's experiment of 9th February may have placed us all in jeopardy with reference to the recent energy crisis. It is imperative that you keep us in the loop with regard to any information you may glean by Mr Drum no matter how small.

I am a bit concerned about that too... C.O.P.S seems more and more manipulative and less and less friendly...

As for the files.Louise put up, I saw those, but all of them want a password. Who'd passwords go.with which files?

We are working out the passwords still.

We think the first one has to do with Broadgate/Liverpool St Station...as the sculpture of Bellerophen tames Pegasus is located in the Arena (another name for Broadgate Circle) there.

For the second:
The crest is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus_College,_Oxford ....interestingingly, the sister college is Jesus College, Cambridge.

Maybe we are being pointed to Cambridge after all

and the map refers to Prices Meadow

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
From http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=47030&strquery=princes%20meadow :
"Prince's Meadows was the name given to the detached portion of the demesne land of the manor of Kennington lying at the northern end of the parish between Broadwall and the site of Waterloo Road, inside the Narrow Wall."
So, near Broadwall... is that Broadgate?

Either way, it is now part of Christ Church parish... and the oxford college has a Christ Church meadows which seems it could be the same place... and the college is located on/around Broad Street

Reading further in the above link (up to Chapter 4) provides the coat of arms (mind you, I found it elsewhere)

And the "sundering" in 1813 probably references
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Waterloo Bridge

Again from the same document

EDIT: Got the password for the second zip:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Cuper's Garden

Sent email to the Baron:
Quote:
Baron Kalan of Vitall,

It seems your tokens are much more complex puzzles than the Number Place puzzles from the far side of Asiacommunista. I have been endeavouring to decode the first token, with only a little luck. I believe I know quite specifically the area that is relevant on that most interesting of maps you provided. Unfortunately, I am yet to unlock the image. The area in question is a hub of travel, housing and commerce.

My sources provided me with information on others that seem to be working with you on this matter - and I have managed to obtain a clandestine copy of your second token. This token, unlike the first, was quite easy to unlock. Having unlocked it, I can see that you have in your possession a total of nine such tokens and that it does indeed seem that you need assistance with a Number Place puzzle.

I will continue to work on the first token (and have my sources monitor the others working on it too), but it would work in both our favours if you are able to provide the remaining tokens to expedite the process.

Yours
Lady Ariella of Londra

Still not got the first password though.

Beaut, reesylou! <3 to come home to a Cool solve on the thread. Glancing at it all now, Jack Wright from the "report.jpg" was a minor theme from Wallace's last case. Have nformed Baron Freaky of that & this FB reply must have come earlier. G'Nite all!

Amandel van Bakalt wrote:
Please, Baron, do not let me hear you speak roughly of women again, especially the trustworthy women who are assisting you. It hurt my ear and it's effect was to cause a wondering inside me if yours and the glorious Empire's goals are truly harmonious and resonating.

Where have you obtained these materials for your researches, Sir? Why do your intentions and your laboratory remain so cloaked?

Then Kalan Vitall replied: Lady, forgive me if I have offended you I had no intention of doing. As for these materials they come from my deep researches into the past where much has been lost in the eddies of time.

I have been unable to unlock the two tokens I have sent you, I had hoped you would pierce the veil of time with your powers of blue. There are indeed more than two mysteries to be solved dear Lady.

More research on the first one:

The Liverpool St station and Broadgate area have been home to a number of locations over time. I have focussed on the area between Moorsgate and Bishopsgate, north of the London Wall .. heading back as far as the 1500s I have found:
Bethlehem hospital - later Bedlam (seems to be about the right area)
Moore Fields (although this seems to relate more to Finsbury Circus)
an artillery ground (too far south and west)
Butchers Close
St Leonards Shoreditch Parish

....and still no luck

EDIT: Email from the Baron asking us to send the secons token back (so I did) and a clue for the first token: H. Peake

and a very quick response... delivering the third token: will send it to Louise to post (if she has not got it too)

Ladies,

If you have unlocked the second one why do you delay in sending it to me, remember whom you serve. Do you wish me speak ill of you at court. As for the first one I have another reference which one of my staff came upon:

"H Peake"

I am not in the possession of nine tokens but I am sure my staff will have uncovered them in due course.

Just read this email and did a 180 . Found a Henry Peake who designed an HMS Bellerophon which was originally named...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
HMS Waterloo and "Waterloo" (case sensitive) is the PW

Don't see much harm in sending these to Baron Freaky 'tho will hold off to see what Reesylou aka Lady Ariella Very Happy thinks.

Foily! Waterloo is one of only two London terminals without a close connection to the Circle Line, the other is London Bridge.

Good job... I hadn't had time to research it Smile

Louise has posted the third token Smile

I am heading to work, so will have to wait to open it myself

Don't see we have much choice since we get no more unless we give back

Winchester red is the bishop of Winchester who wore scarlet robes. The reference is a Shakespeare one. Will update more when at a pc instead of using my phone. That is, if you have not solved by then

Am off to Sleepyville. This email verifies that the mystery is so layered that even Reesylou is only correct 99.9% of the time. Laughing

Wallace in an email wrote:
"...correct frequency..." not good at all and this Baron is alternate of Max Drum who performed an experiment on the 9th February as well. Louise has told me about the Baron in the books she has read. I don't think we want the Granbretan Empire visiting us any time soon. Tartarus was meant to be a gateway to hell, would it also cover access to other worlds? I think I might have to speak to Professor Drake again regarding this possibility no matter how nuts it all sounds.

333 does seem to dog my steps. no, you are right my guts says Max Drum is merely being used by someone else. Incidentally, Reesylou sent me an email saying: "that the remaining three of the Corcas guys (Dwight Sunderland, Johnny Howard, and Dennis Stern) have vanished." That is incorrect, Max's lab staff vanished. The other three are still alive and well, my sources have confirmed this today.

Looks like I need to speak to Drake and Maad again. Have you heard anything from this Roxie gal recently?
