[Trailhead?] The Abandoned Windmill So some random guy friended me on Twitter today and I followed a link to theabandonedwindmill.com . Think I found something? I don't have time to follow up on it (busy college student and all), but I'm curious to see if you find anything.

this intrigues me... digging deeper. clicking around the front page and you will find:
an email > pickmanSPLAT theabandonedwindmill.com
a very interesting 404 page http://www.theabandonedwindmill.com/links.html
twitter > http://twitter.com/# !/tpickman
blog entries about this 20 something guy who has moved into a creepy windmill (many misspelled words popping out at me from first entry)
monde > mind
ude > use
thatt > that
hi > he
othwr > other
sine > sign

Some other misspellings:
From the first page:
uawning = yawning
From the third page (windmill.html) I'm not sure if these are typos or are on purpose:
"Studio on he first floor" = "studio on the first floor"
"The last could hundred yards" = "the last good hundred yards"
"my cheat little sedan" = "my cheap little sedan"
"and going to have to wait" = "are going to have to wait"
They seem like simple typos to me, but there aren't typos in the other entries as far as I noticed so they stand out.
There are a lot of links on the home page (about, contact, portfolio, breakup [this is the journal], links, link to twitter account, and "x"), but a lot of them just send us to the mysterious 404 link. Guess Mr. Pickman needs to finish up his site still.

seems like the pm is pointing out the misspelling to us there. just not sure if the corrected words need to be reorganized or if we use the letters... i'll try to play around w/it later tonight.

Just going by the typos you used. I'll go in depth in the morning after I get a better chance to check it out. Using the typos from what you posted, it's saying something.
"he could cheat and..."
I'll work on more soon.

Just looked back at windmill.html and the words have changed. Everything has been corrected. I'm thinking they all were unintended errors Odd coincidence though, considering what CarnageBlack just found!
The misspellings on the first page are still there though... except ude/use, which has also been corrected. So I think we need to focus on:
monde -- mind
uawning -- yawning
thatt -- that
hi -- he
othwr -- other
sine -- sign

Looks like it says "below".

"He could cheat and" fix the typos. lol
I'll check the HTML in a sec. That could be the "below" it was talking about.
<edit> The HTML was simple and didn't include anything of interest, at all.
As for the typos, I ROTed them all. Nothing from ROT1-ROT47.

I ran a few of the words through google translate and "monde" means world and "sine" means their. Not sure if those are just coincidence or not.

Certainly the name, but also the rather creepy drawing of the bird in the sink, brings to mind Lovecraft's "Pickmans Model".

Don't forget that he actually mentions that he was reading lovecraft and is from upstate new york which is close to teh setting for most of lovecraft's works and lovecrafts stomping ground.
Another HP lovecraft themed, arg/fiction? YES PLEASE
