To answer a couple of questions, I found a guy online who is an expert in the Classic Illustrated comics and asked him to help me find the issue that has the inside cover ad and Harpoon compass splash page. After some searching he was able to find it. He tells me it is the ONLY Classic Illustrated Moby Dick comic that has this configuration. If you want to try and track one down here is the info you need. Classic Illustrated Moby Dick # 5 HRN (118) the 13th edition. I've compared it to the online link here http://www.tkinter.smig.net/ClassicsIllustrated/MobyDick/index.htm and the artwork is VERY different all the way through the comic. I will scan the whole book if you like. How do you think the best way would be to post them here??

Thanks,

Bobby

->> Bobby that's legendary!! Not sure about the scanning though I'm sure someone here could help...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Early am musings.....

So two potential comic books:
Moby Dick:
http://www.tkinter.smig.net/ClassicsIllustrated/MobyDick/index.htm
(However Josh's copy is: Classic Illustrated Moby Dick # 5 HRN (118) the 13th edition)

Rocket Poppeteers:
http://www.rocketpoppeteers.com/rocketshop/rp_comicteaser.pdf

..??Possibly other classic illustrated.

The STIES conversation shows the advert with binder circled and backed changed to back ed . These are the 12th and 35th words of the body of text or letters 58-64 168-171.

Current Numbers:
Map 1

11.89 (or 19.89)
12.68

Map 2

75.125
04.2

BRAEGEN14:

16 18 03 39

Possible links:

12.68
http://www.ladue63.com/library/Classics%20Illustrated%20v1%20012-Rip%20Van%20Winkle/imagepages/image68.html

04.2
http://www.ladue63.com/library/Classics%20Illustrated%20v1%20004%20-%20The%20Last%20Of%20The%20Mohicans/imagepages/image2.html

Unfortunately the other 2 numbers fall outside the issue page rule (or 404 error). I get the feeling this is (again) still in the hands of the PMs (if, incidentally, you are reading this ought throw us a bone for finding the actual copy, you know, pavlov and all that Wink )

WOW Bobby! Brownie

It'd take some time - but I'm sure we'd all be Poppeteer proud of you for posting the whole book. It should earn you and your Twin Teamwork fleet some extra points - don't ya think? Maybe you could create a separate thread just for the book. I upload my images to a google picasa web album and post from there - but whatever works best for you sounds good to me.
Great find!!!

I read a theory earlier yesterday that these map portions could be put together after we acquire every piece, possibly forming a full shape. Is there a way we could connect the pieces using the coordinate locations listed on each map section? Smile

Once I get the scans done I'll start a new thread with them in order. Might be a couple days. Very Happy

We all know that M likes using the letter D to stand for Down .. like he does for the chat time codes ( meet me at 5d's and 4o's last leg) so maybe hes doing the same with the book as the picture shows hopefully .. Just a thought really Smile

Hey Bobby, create yourself an account over at wikibruce and you can upload them there.

Then you can link the images back here.

A new thread would be the best way, then we can localise the discussion.

PolarLand is safe? Could they be referring to this ship?
http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/sh-usn/usnsh-p/id3651.htm
Why the he!! would the government commission a ship that big to only transport frozen food for the span of one year?

Grasping at straws

Okay, I was reading the topics and catching up on lost reading. Has anyone tried to use the golden rule on the initial newspaper from the start of the game? Could that be the IT that mysterio refers to? I'm at work and don't have my copy on hand. Any chance someone could look at it and see if the MOBY DICK reference could be tied to the original paper?

I'm not seeing a connection to the comic. The nuclear treaty article relates more to what Sarah is posting on Revalistic.com.

map and code

I`ve been working unsuccessfully at using a "clue" from the map. If you notice, "FFSH" is underlined like it was filled in (like it was decoded). We have 12.68 and 11.59 on the map. My theory hinges on one of those sets translating to "FFSH" or some numerical function coming out to translate. Anybody else attempting?
