Six new cards (#s 254 through 259) came with the book. If anyone wants, I could scan the cards and post them here. Thoughts?

One thing though: When I go on the site, I can't see them as locked or unlocked.

Scholastic won't upload them to the site until sometime on the 5th (Tuesday).

People who get their books & cards early due to mix-ups at their local stores have to wait until the official release in order to enter their cards at the site.

These cards are strange. Only the one on top (in this case, #255, "The Superdweeb") holds the code. The rest have gray mist against a black background in place of the code. That's why the bottom of #255 will be chopped off when I post the cards.

Vespers Rising Cards
Pictures finally up!

Here they are, the cards of Vespers Rising!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
#254: The Newest Target

Amy Cahill escaping from Vespers in the Alps (you'll see that little scene in the fourth part of Vespers Rising). I haven't bothered solving the puzzle yet, and as the key is in the book, you won't be able to solve it until April 5 (or unless your bookstore gets the book early).

#255: The Superdweeb

Dan Cahill evading Vespers at Grace Cahill's manor in the Alps (again, that will feature in the fourth part of Vespers Rising). The bottom part is chopped off because this card holds the code, and I'm sure as hell not giving that out!

#256: Footprint

The footprint of a very dangerous and ruthless Vesper agent, Casper Wyoming. You'll meet this slimy, slippery, generally unpleasant fellow in the fourth part of Vespers Rising.

#257: Gideon's Ring

Gideon's infamous ring from the Black Book, revealed at last. It has quite the secret, and features in all four parts of Vespers Rising.

#258: Vesper's Armor

The armor that a Vesper apparently wears (though no Vesper is seen actually wearing the thing). This is the only place this armor is ever implied (though Damien Vesper may have owned it, I can't exactly remember). This image is lopsided and corners have been cut because I scanned it a bit quirky. It reveals the Vesper's crest, albeit a slightly stylized version of it.

#259: Vesper Transmission

A coded Vesper message (damn, they're as paranoid as the Cahills after all). Reveals the "normal" Vesper crest (without the little tail the one on the armor had). It may be the threat-laden message Fiske mentioned at the end of Into the Gauntlet. Strangely, this isn't a puzzle.

Wow, Amy looks completely different. It's like they got someone else instead.

Using that logic, I suppose the yellow text means
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Zagreb.

And Zagreb is in Croatia, where Nikola Tesla's lab is!

And London is where the Kabra mansion is!

I think we're onto something. Could Nikola Tesla have been a Vesper posing as an Ekat?

Isabel's maiden name is Vesper-Hollingsworth, so she could have been a Vesper who intermarried a Lucian.
And your theory about tesla could be correct, considering the Madrigals saying to him,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"This is what happens when you cross the line"
after his lab was destroyed.

Two things to report.

First, video #3 is (finally) out. This one didn't include the text (just voices), and the background moves, OOO!

Second, does anyone remember how I entered this forum - with the discovery that I'd be getting Into the Gauntlet four days early? Well, I just discovered the same will be happening for Vespers Rising, except I'll be getting it twice as early - today. I love that bookstore.

WHAT BOOKSTORE DO YOU GO TO!?!?!?!?!!???!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Mad

What about Berlin? What does that have to do with the Vespers?

Vespers Rising
Cards

Perhaps some of the Nazis were Vespers? The Vespers are more secretive than the Cahills, so they could steal the Amber Room right under the Cahills' noses.
