 		Yep. That's what it says. Means no more to me after reading it 200 times than it did the first time. I feel like I missed a day of class. Dunno
Wish I had some clue as to a path to attempt. But, I don't see any viable connections to try; So, it's just lots of fruitless guesswork.

Could you possibly point me in the direction of what on the (recursion) page is a hint for what to do with the coordinate box? Is it the "Recursive: adj. see recursive" box?

Rogi, would you consider posting your expounding publicly, perhaps under the spoiler cut? I've been quietly lurking, hoping for a hint on this one, too. I spent hours trying various things, and just randomly clicking, and nothing has worked. I think my brain is stuck in the wrong track, and I've been hoping that someone here will drop a hint that will shake me out of it.

What puts me off the most is that the answer is probably a common word or phrase that doesn't require outside knowledge of computer science or the like.

About the only thing we have to go on is the grid and that getting something out of it would probably require an input source with an even number of variables.
The trick is
a) Figuring out an order to enter the variables
b) Figuring out a source and order to collect the variables

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Descartes was known as a philosopher ("Cogito ergo sum.", et.al.) and a mathemetician. Figure out how one of his math contributions might be usable for "a" and assume for "b" that his "walk" is taking him from his native, France, eastward, to Germany.
I wasted a ton of effort trying to make "b" more involved than it needed to be.

 		Okay, so what I took from your original Descartes hint was:

that you were referring to a Cartesian grid. But what I'm stuck on is the "walk" part... what on earth to use for x and y as inputs.


Is there something on the page that clued you in? A specific thing to focus on? It's very frustrating, because I solved all the other seals pretty quickly, and I've spent days thinking about this one. Either I'm stupid, or M's and my brain are completely incompatible here. Makami, regarding what to use as inputs:

Notice that on the right side of the page there is a box with "Recursion adj see recursion" in it. When you click on letters in the grid they appear in another box below the first one. This suggests that they are related somehow.


Furthermore,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
there are 24 letters in the first box, but you can only enter 12 letters into the 2nd box before it goes blank. This is significant.

 		Woah, the "Different" theorem is really hard. I can't believe a hundred people have solved it already!

I used an image-lookup site to find the images I didn't recognize.
