shhh_baby wav file Who's speaking here? It sort of sounded like Jan, but I know it couldn't have been. Was it her mother or gladys or what? What was going on there?

Since she says "Mommy's here," I'm assuming it's Jan's mother, Gilly.

So Durga called her?

We don't know. Theoretically possible, I suppose, but personally I doubt it. I think Gilly came with James, and that we have yet to see the vengeance that Durga will wreak upon Thin Kinkle.

Ooooh...I like Durga's brand of vengence...lol. Was I the only one who was really disturbed by the Jan being tourtered wavs?
Thanks for answering Shad0.

Did he say he didn't come alone? The reason why the whole thing confuses me is because I really had a hard time hearing that wav and really all of the jan wavs this time.
It was really hard to hear what thin was saying.

Yes, the volume is a bit lower than usual, which fits the subject matter. Frankly, I don't want to hear that knife at 40 decibels.
The lady is Gilly, who we found out is actually Jan's mom ... and possibly J2's wife. She's an ex-Spartan and came back from the wars with a lot of emotional trauma. In this case, it served her, since she was able to calmly and cooly dispatch all that kept her from her daughter.
Now, with much of his posse dead on the floor of his 'playhouse,' Thin Kinkle has created his own worst nightmare: two very powerful, very angry la femmes domina on his trail.

I think he was bluffing when he said that he didn't come alone, and then Durga called Gilly.

I dunno. Durga doesn't go for simplicity in her actions. If she did call for help, I'd see her bring a lot more firepower than just Gilly. On the other hand, depending on how much she REALLY knows about Jan an J^2, she might know better than get the cops involved...

Or maybe she figures that there's no such thing as "a lot more firepower than" a woman trained to be a supersoldier and currently armed to the teeth, who is incapable of understanding the concept of peacetime, and whose
husband
fellow SPARTAN is dead and whose daughter is in mortal danger. So who exactly is the war goddess around here?

I dunno. Durga does believe in shockingly excessive force. While Gilly would likely kill everyone there, it just doesn't seem excessive enough.

I am going to arbitrarily lock this thread. This forum (under the "Questions" category) is for basic game questions, not discussion or spec (which can continue under the "General/Updates" category).
