I agree. You're safe from masky if you lock your doors and he can be dispatched with reasonable effort, but the Operator knows no such boundaries, he can just appear where he chooses and god help you if he takes offence.

Oh, he doesn't need to be offended.

He just fucking takes you.

But yeah, Operator. I'd have my throat slit by Timasky's knife rather than have The Operator kill me, steal my organs, blood, and eyes, and hide my corpse somewhere nondescript (or in some other dimension). Not to mention. prior to that, stalking me wherever I go & making me run for my life. >_>

Except when that doesn't work. >:D

I've waffled back and forth throughout the entire series as to who's scarier. First it was the Operator, then when Masky first showed up, I practically crapped myself, but the scare wore off quickly and the Operator was again king.... but around Warning and ###### I decided that jesus christ, this Masky fellow is scary again.

Right now, the sight of the Operator is scarier to me. He throws off eerie valley and eldritch horror vibes all over the damn place and he gives me shivers.

But the idea of Masky, in reality, is scarier to me. I cheer rather than scream when I see him, but if I were to come up against one or the other of them in real life, I'd back off more quickly from Masky. I just think the idea of some guy who's able to get into your room like whatevs, is probably insane and definitely imbalanced, and desperately wants something mysterious from you, is more intimidating than the eerie valley creature that tilts its head at you and then makes you forget it was ever there.

I feel like I answered this on a thread before, but I kinda want to amend my answer a bit here to answer the question of who's most frightening.

Honestly, at this point, it's neither Masky nor the Operator, although they're both frightening in their own respects...

Masky has the whole 'realism' to him, like he could exist (minus the possible supernatural electromagnetism/teleportation powers) and could be stalking or intruding on or kidnapping you at any time. I've gotten less scared of him, though, since making two of my own Masky masks (although now I'm more afraid of the mask itself, ironically Razz )

The Operator will always be frightening. He's pure eldritch, Lovecraftian, paranoid horror freak show material. He's silent, lumbering, powerful, aloof, and definitely foul in his own right. I know people have been muttering about him becoming something other than his roots on the forums lately, but I think that horror that feeds on paranoia (Zalgo, Cthulu) can be much more frightening and effective than straight up slasher/creature horror (a la The Rake). That said, he's been (sadly) absent for a while now, and apart from Entries 13/14/26, I'm not really 'scared' by him in the videos as much now. That could change, though.

So who am I most scared of? Totheark. Yeah, I know the debate still wages on about who TTA is (I'm still not convinced he isn't Tim/Masky) but for the sake of my argument, I'll count them separate.

TTA is creepy to me because, clearly, the dude/chick/thing has knowledge and influence. At the very least, TTA has control over Timmasky (if TTA isn't Masky, of course) and, to some degree, Jay. TTA orchestrates events, plants devices of questionable natures (possibly the camera in 26, Jay and Jessica in the hotel, the package to Jay from 26...). There's also the possibility that TTA has something (see: a lot) to do with the Operator's presence and may even have an influence on what the Operator does. He's almost like Big Brother, if Big Brother was only interested in YOU and nobody else, and made sure you were alone all the time and forced to pursue something you don't entirely understand.

Not sure if that makes sense, but it's where I'm at now. I believe I previously was quoted as saying that Masky was more frightening, but I think that's just something that changes over time.

(This all said and done, though, outside of the MH universe and considering the whole Slenderverse at large, the most frigtening are easily 1) Slender Man 2) totheark 3) KindvonderRitter. Jus' saying Razz )

The Operator is more frightening. I could take down Masky in an instant. Or he'll just have a seizure.

I am terrified of The Operator. There isn't much information on "it" so I have no idea what he is capable of doing. Masky just seems to be a puppet who is really good at sneaking into places, but one on one he would get a beating. as video entry #35 has shown.

The Operator. At first sighting of him I was just like ... D; *pees self*
I got over a fear of the dark when I was 8. It has now returned thanks to Marble Hornets, Slendy and EMH.

I find masky scarier. Why? Practicality.

The Operator works in a "in for a penny, in for a pound" sort of way, if he got involved with me just a little bit he'd do whatever the hell he wanted, it's not like I could stop him. He's just so heinously overpowered that there's absolutely no point in being afraid of him. If he wanted my immortal soul or whatever, what am I going to do? Say no? Shoot him? The Operator is clearly more dangerous, but he makes me apathetic because I know whatever happened, I'd be helpless, so there's not point living in fear because he'll do whatever he wants when he wants.

Masky, on the other hand, is worth being paranoid about. He has supernatural powers, but he's still mortal, and very damageable. He has just enough superpowers to make him able to seriously harm me without me being able to react fast enough (i.e. teleport into my room and stab me in my sleep). I can set traps for him, sleep with one eye open, keep a shotgun under my pillow, etc and it might WORK. So if I'm paranoid about Masky it's because being fearful and paranoid increases my caution, which increases my chances of surviving, unlike the Operator where any amount of preparedness and planning won't help you in the least.

The Operator, hands down and contest won.

Masky is cool, but to be honest (don't lynch me lol) when I first saw Masky I actually found him a bit ludicrous.

I think the reason why is because Masky underneath that mask is so obviously... human. And I've never been scared by Jason or any other psycho in a mask in horror films. I get faaar more freaked out by inhuman abominations, creeping silently around the house, watching you through the windows, stalking. Shocked

Don't wanna open up any film-related discussions here, but I'm of the league that finds The Blaire Witch 10x freakier than the dirge that is Halloween.

Yeah, no contest, Operator ft creepfest win

EDIT : I guess I should add however that entry # 19 is one of the only entries I really can't bring myself to rewatch. Masky = ludicrous > Masky = a little bit terrifying because of this one.

I'm going to say The Operator/Slenderman. Only because I actually get excited when masky is seen. God knows I wouldn't do that if a masked man was actually running at me with a knife, but when he's seen by jay's camera, im all
":DDDD FISDGJNDUIOGN MASKY <333"

Plus, there's just so much unknown about the operator, there's still so much speculation. He could be anything, have any motives. Or he could have none at all. Also, no face. ._.
