The question is if Durga called Gillie or not. JJ said he was not alone when be busted in there. Wether that's a lie or not, we may never know.

So either JJ called Gillie and had her come with him, or Durga called Gillie. JJ is dead by the time Durga checks up on Jan, so Gillie would've had to have been somewhat close, geographically, to get there.

I'm leaning more towards JJ going in with backup, but I could be wrong. I'm still in denial....but acceptance is slowly creeping in... Sad

There was a winddown/windup between broken_angel and five_guys so some time got passed over there. Of course they might have just did that to spare us listening to them "mop up" JJ. Sad

Those ripping noises in shh_baby? Yeah, that was throats being slit. Gillie is freaking hardcore. I hope Thin gets drawn and quartered.

I'm hoping she got him on his way out.

I think Thin Kinkle's demise will be something we will bear witness to. I'm sure the PMs realize we want to see this guy suffer. Twisted Evil

All I know is that if Thin gets his just desserts, I'd rather it be in the morning where I can hear it, roar with delight and justified rage, and bear the staring of my puzzled co-workers, than for it to happen in the evening when I go to class and miss about three hours' worth of hottenified axons and their respective .wavs.

Damn run-on sentences.

That's what I get for being overly upset.

I would bet that Gilly actually lets Jan adminsiter the "justice."

My [SPEC] is that Durga called Gilly, who was already waiting outside, told her what happened, and aided her by turning off the lights at the right time and so forth.

Spartan vs. Dime Store Bully

Is any else bothered by the fact that a "dime store bully" and his low-life cronies were able to take out a Spartan (even a 1.0)? We must take the clips at face value I know, but this seems hard to believe.

J^2 is purported to be tougher than Jan. However he appears to have been partially incapacitated by a fall through the floor, whereas Jan jumped three stories without any injury. I am guessing that he was incapacitated because he should have been able to move as soon as he landed and wipe the floor with those guys. Jan was quick enough to take a gun away from a man who had his finger wrapped on the trigger before he could shoot her. If J^2 was faster they never would have been able to get a bead on him to trap him with a shot from netgun. With his years of brutal training his reflexes should have put him into battle motion the instant he hit down. Maybe he was older than I thought.

Thin will have trouble dealing with Jan, Gilly, and possibly Gladys brought in as a bonus - she clearly would want a part of someone who took our her friend.

And yes, I think that Durga called Gilly.

I would edit if I had something minor to add, but I just came up with some interesting spec.

Consider this: In love_me_yet, Thin tells Jan that (paraphrased) 'the party's over, Daddy's here to pick you up', or roughly that. Both before AND after J^2 "fell on some bullets", Thin maintained his slick, evil composure. I really, really can't help but wonder--was it all just a trap to kill J^2?

[Tinfoil hat time, fellas]
Could it be that the guy who originally interrupted Jan's juice to ask a favor of her was working for Thin all along, and only asked her to do it so she could legitimately be on Thin's bad side? Thin knowing, all along, that if he kidnapped her, tortured her, and didn't do much in the way of privatizing it, that J^2 would show up to the rescue?

What if, and this is a big if, someone (say, Standish?) were pulling Thin's strings this whole time?
[Hesitantly remove your tinfoil hat now]

Man.... 7 days can't move by fast enough...

EDIT: And yes, I DID just go back and re-listen to Jan's story this week, only so I could remind myself of exactly how much Thin Kinkle needs to be WRECKED.

I would imagine the enhancements Jan received would be more advanced than JJ's, as they occured many years later. I would also imagine that JJ is perhaps not as young and active as he used to be. He was also distressed by Jan's torture. Maybe those things are reason enough.. maybe they aren't.

(And before anyone chimes in with John-117's age, remember he's received many more enhancements than JJ, and is usually wandering around in a suit of MJOLNIR armour.)

Get the trout ready... If any one has said this already I'd love to see some good spec. Every search with Durga and SPDR yields stuff like "Melissa split after the spdr was killed... Melissa and SP and flea are the same person." Maybe Durga and SPDR are the same person:

1. Spider is a search engine that likes to find things (I guess you could say I like to find things out)

2. Durga appears after the Apocalyso crash (cf Standish.wav and sleep_spying.wav).

3. Durga escaped when someone tried to sting her.

I know there's a lot of holes (spdr is not advanced as Durga, why would Melissa transmit to the spdr...), but any thoughts/old spec would be appreciated.

That just doesn't seem likely. Though I can see where you're coming from with that.

By the way, Nova's sig is my favorite quote of any user on this entire forum.

I thought about this earlier, but largely rejected it.

- Standish is trying to get rid of Apocalypso crew, not 1.0's.
- Gladys is the one who got Jan into the Thin mess to begin with and I think she is on "our" side.

On another topic. How did Thin get Jan anyway? In the prior clips, she and her dad were fleeing town for greener pastures?

Glad you like. Cool

Not quite. They were giving McKaskill a ride out of town before returning home. JJ brought up the fact that they would have to move, but they weren't actually leaving town just then.
