New York Public Library "Find the Future" Game

The New York Public Library has a new "viral" ARG-ish game called "Find the Future, created by Jane McGonigal.

One part is that 100 players who pass certain tests get to spend the night in the 5th ave branch of the library of follow a scavenger/clue hunt. It looks really fun, even thought it's not scary or edgy.

Game is here - http://game.nypl.org/

I've applied, and am eagerly waiting for my submission to make its way through moderation.

EDITED TO ADD: looks like my entry has made it through moderation (I'm #1276) -- and according to Jane, over 1500 entries so far.

I was selected!!! I am going to spend the night at the New York Public Library with 499 others.

We are going to be writing something together from 7pm until 6pm. I joined the Facebook group, which is pretty cool to have so I can see the other people.

Anyone else on unforum selected? OR and I going to represent?

Congratulations, Chelbelle. Lucky you! Make sure to keep those of us not in NYC posted on the game.

I thought it was this weekend : (

I had my dates wrong. I sent myself a reminder to check on you all this weekend but it's the 20th, not the 14th. *Sighs* Shoot. Okay, I'm resetting my reminder.

Since I am here, any updates? Smile

I'm still trying to wrap by head around what the challenge actually is. Writing a book? Will you "make up" a story? I can't wait for it to happen, the suspense is killing me. Just so you know, I am living vicariously through you all (I doubt I am the only one) so feel free to post anything you want, you have fans who are interested!

Already joined the Facebook group -- I'm not prepared for that many new people to follow / be followed by, but for UF folks, I'm flexible (@mjandersen).
