Groom Mining District

Inspired by the new map, I was looking at pictures of The Lil' A'Le Inn on Google Earth and came across this pic.

A quick search found this pic.

Groom Mining District (GMD). Mining means caves and caves mean TROGL so I had to look into it. Here is what I've found so far.

http://silverstateghosttowns.com/groomminedistrict.html (info on GMD)

http://www.knowledgecenter.unr.edu/specoll/mss/99-19.html (more info on GMD)

http://wikimapia.org/1791884/Groom-Mine (location)

http://www.quehoposse.org/groomdoins.html (pics of caves at GMD and unveiling of the plaque at Lil' A'Le Inn)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E_Clampus_Vitus (club that put up the plaque)

So to recap GMD is a series of mines nestled inside of the Nevada Test Range about 6 miles North of the Groom Lake Facility, and about 20 miles South of Rachel, NV. Could it be related to the ARG or am I just looking into things too much?

I also came across Leviathan Cave in my search ( has this been mentioned before? Sounds familiar.) It's about 15 miles NE of Rachel, here are some links on it.

http://desertislands.org/leviathan.htm (leviathan cave pics)

What do you guys think?

Nice work digging (no pun intended) all of this info up! It was interesting to look through, for sure. At this point, it seems that anything is possible with this ARG...

you will be applauded by the E Clampus Vitus (relic)...

Superb!! This is clearly what the map is referring to (not independence day time capsule!).. We have Vitas (relic), caves, and correct time era for the events preceding 1963

Genius! Have a Brownie

Those rocks reminds me the ones Minker Sr is carrying in editing room clip.

ugh

I find it so funny! I was visiting the Lil' A'Le Inn around the time we were trying to figure out what was inside Fergus Falls! The place is so cool! Even if there isn't an actual clue there anyone that has the chance should go there! You'll get a kick out of it. Very Happy

BDevall - Nice job looking past the obvious to even more interesting connections. I like the E Clampus Vitus motto Credo quia absurdum - I believe because it is absurd (and the society has WV ties).
I agree - those rocks do look similar to what was being pushed on the cart.

Thanks for all links.

Judging by the pics in the links the rocks were added after the plaque. No idea on a time frame for that though could have been 15 minutes after they put it up or done just recently.

Here is a bit more info from abovetopsecret.com (Josh is a member). A couple more pics and some documents the conspiracy theorist dug up, pretty interesting stuff. Also there is a video on the page of a woman who grew up at the mine talking about bomb test.

underground rocks

So we've seen the frames in the trailer with what looks like rocks or a meteor. We know that Josh's dad worked underground. I believe we are all thinking that The cube came here on that meteor. Just being food for thought.... what if the meteor landed here a long time ago.... kind of the ancient astronaut theory? Could be left overs from a preciors civilization.
