If you reproduce the pattern in binary (0 = no mark through the square, 1 = mark), you get something like this:

Strike the first column, and you get:

1110011 = s
1100101 = e
1100001 = a
1101100 = l

http://www.theabandonedwindmill.com/seal.html gives you a blank screen, not the usual static-y TV with below on it. The source code directs you to a file with the extension ....1678230.jpg.

And that, on the end of the url, gives you a new picture:

Haven't played around with it yet, though i'd share.


Very impressive find - completely missed the tiles thing... but make sure actual solves are in spoiler boxes to make it fun for everyone Smile

Anyhow...

This is obviously a rendering of himself - breaking the window with a hammer.. So it makes me wonder - did he kill the bird himself as well?
What else is he doing while he is asleep?


Looks like we will have to pay extra close attention to the paintings from now on....

 		Has anyone else noticed that the right side of the doll's body seems pretty mangled? The hand is backwards and the foot seems to be sideways. Pair that with the bleeding eyes and we might have a major clue into a possible trauma.

I've asked Tom if he found anything interesting behind the broken mirror, as the word directing us to that painting might suggest. We'll see what comes of it.

Has anyone inquired about the doll's bloody eyes? I'm sure we'll get a cryptic answer. but maybe something useful, yea?

 		A small detail I noticed - probably unimportant, but here it is anyway: The Signature in the corner of 'Pacman's Model' looks much more like 'TR' than 'TP'.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but

There is what appears to be writing along the right lower edge of the painting. I flipped it to the left 90 degrees (so the right side of the painting is at the top), magnified it 800% and played with the contrast. It might just be smudges but it could also be a five or maybe six-letter word. It looks like the first letter might be a W, and the second a lower case h. I've tried various URL endings but none have come through. Seems like the paintings are key following the binary code solv

Or maybe I'm looking way too hard.

Also, what is the significance of the title of the painting under seal.html? 1678230.jpg? doesn't seem to represent anything...yet

The doll came from a thrift store, and we believe it was hand made. It had a number of defects which were included in my painting. The tears of blood were to reflect my sister's pain at the time.

So, it was a window and not a mirror, which makes sense now that I think about it. But Tom's reaction seems genuine enough. He's most likely schizo/SPD, or there's supernatural manipulation at play.

Again I'll say it, I LOVE this whole thing.
