Maybe he was also tied up with the DVD release. Honestly, I wasn't expecting anything but the DVD going on sale to happen this week, Entry 38 was a very pleasant surprise.

Yeah, it's completely understandable. Part of the fun of this series is speculating what'll happen next, always a plus when someone actually gets it right.

sorry if im trouting. i havent read anything. i just f-ing noticed entry 38 was posted. does anyone else think alex was showing jay to the ark??

Stands to reason that J's got the rest of that sequence at the beginning of one of his other tapes, seeing as how he stopped to change it. Hell, for all we know Troy may have filmed the whole thing at once and just broken it up. Just a matter of when we'll get the rest of the story. Seems like the "What happened during that seven months" story arc is coming to a head.

it was a rhetorical question lol i know in-game. i got really excited because to me it seemed he was being led to the ark and so when the tape ended and it didnt cut back, it was a hair-pulling moment for me ><

Nah, this is too plot revealing to finish with a TTA video, naturally the next 7 entries will have nothing to do with this incident, and the next TTA video will be like:

Well, its an area where people were left tied to trees as sacrafices, a long history of slender-strikes, and a very ominous feeling....I sort of got the vibe that this forest was anything but safe.

When has the pacing and structure of this series been anywhere close to that abysmal? Show's always been great about grouping its plot elements together.

The back story is a little too gruesome to buy it as a safe area, or to believe that Alex thought it was a safe area. In his telling they also stopped bringing criminals out there after a kid was found out there, which suggests any good mojo present had perhaps soured.

(And searching for 'sour ground' brings up a nice essay on Pet Sematary and the politics of territory, which is a nice tangent and way to occupy oneself while waiting for a TTA move.)

In season 1, no. In season 2 I feel like aside from one or two exceptions, everything has been rather aimless and meandering. We're getting a lot of exposition, but mostly everything is disjointed and odd. Things are revealed, but it feels kind of loose fitting to me, and every time something important happens the camera cuts off before we really learn anything. I also feel like TTA rarely offers anything useful, I feel like he's offered a good deal of exposition 2 or 3 times, and the rest it's be self-indulgent wankery (not on Troy's part, mind you, just self-indulgent wankery purely IG by TTA)

I guess I'm just a little miffed, for RL reasons and I kind of snapped. Sorry.

Not sure if anyone has pointed this out but the burning forest reminds me of the painting in entry #20. Also just something that hit me maybe the fire burned of his face? (wild speculation)

I don't think there is really anything else to say about Entry #38 that hasn't been covered. Unless someone actually manages to find a slendy sighting which we all know doesn't exist in this entry.

Does anybody remember any hidden messages from TTA's videos that might have anything to do with Alex's story? I just skimmed through the summaries on the wiki and didn't see anything.
