Hallo. I'm beginning work on something that I eventually want to send to Jeff. How would I go about getting it to him?

If its OOG then you could ask how to contact him via his Tumblr.

Huh, where did everyone go? Meh, since there hasn't been a fic here in a while, here's a Vinne drabble written in about five minutes.

Quote:
Vincent's tired all the time now. The others can't tell that he's losing sleep over them and he's sure as hell not about to tell them. They've all got all their own problems and worries, Jeff with Jessa, Alex and keeping a roof over both their heads. Evan is… tormented by, by…. by something, and Vince wants to help but doesn't know even where to begin. All he can do is watch and wait and pray that their family doesn't fall apart or go insane but by god, he feels like he is fighting a losing battle sometimes. Vincent sometimes just wishes that he wasn't so goddamn tired but mostly wishes he can save his family.

D'awww, astrella, you are the bestest of the best. Good drabble. <3

It's dragging because its spring, and a lot of people (including the boys) are waiting for the school year to end. (I know I am.) It's exhausting. Not to mention that the series has slowed down a little as well. I expect things will pick up sometime around May or June.

Just curious: is the Australian school term organized completely differently, or is this the reversal of summer and winter rearing it's head?

Putting aside EMH's latest stabs at epic trolling, it is time for another round of Rough, Nonconsensual Movie Recommendations. Tonight I recommend Insidious, from Saw creator James Wan. I detest the Saw films and everything they stand for; however, Insidious is a fun spin on the classic haunted house movie. It has some batshit ideas, often well-executed, and everyone in the cast acquits themselves well, especially Rose Byrne in a fairly thankless role and New Line Cinema horror legend Lin Shaye (sister of studio founder Bob Shaye and regular cameo player in a number of the Nightmare on Elm Street films). While there isn't quite as much character meat on the bone as its obvious inspiration Poltergeist (right down to the end credits font), Insidious is a really good time; it's not cheap or tacky and while it doesn't reinvent the wheel or go as apeshit as it could, it really does go for the old-school Joe Dante/William Castle school of spook scares, and does it very well.

Also to recommend in the same vein, a haunted house film that really does go out there and beyond, Nobuhiko Obayashi's legendary House (Hausu) from Japan. As the big Japanese studios flagged in the '70s, many of them turned to pink films (softcore porn) to stay afloat, and then to underground filmmakers-turned-commercial pros, like Obayashi, who did many an insane, trippy commercial for "Mandom" deodorant spray starring such American luminaries as Charles Bronson - Youtube "Mandom bronson" and you will likely see what I mean. Desperate, Toho Studios asked wild man Obayashi to make a horror film - any horror film - and House is the result. Scripted by his seven-year-old daughter, it is everything you could ever want in a movie and more. It is beyond insane, beyond scary, beyond ridiculous, beyond obnoxious, beyond hilarious, beyond awesome, and it features a big evil white fluffy cat, a piano that eats people, and a cast of characters named things like "Kung Fu" and "Gorgeous." Also, a guy who turns into bananas. It is available now on DVD and Blu-Ray and through Netflix. Watch the original trailer here:

Saw Insidious on Friday, I completely agree.
