well, not creating a movie from this exact same plot... but if the story writers were involved in creating a movie in the haloverse - well this game shows it doesn't have to be "Halo", but it can be a plot based in the universe, and these guys are good... chances are, it could turn out very well...

Yes, now that makes a lot of sense. This current story is already so vivid in our minds that making a movie on this story might kill how we envision the story now.

I wouldn't mind seeing a TV series where it starts off with a group of completely random people, each doing their own thing, when they suddenly start realising there's something bigger. I realise it'd be hard to track each and every person who's played a big part in this, but to watch the players come together, start meeting here and elsewhere, and at the same time, watch Melissa invading, the Flea and the SP and everything else happen...

.. not to mention what's happening in the future..

.. you know how I'd do it? Like 24. Real time occurances. I realise that'd be extremely hard to manage, seeing as how the whole thing is happening over so many weeks, but if you were to compress the time scale, it could be made to be believable.

(The only problem I have with that is that it alters the facts, it alters what actually happened, which sort of feels wrong. But still, it'd make a good Book, for sure! Maybe a book with an audio CD which can fit in with it.. hrmm.. *considers that idea* )

I could enjoy a movie in the Haloverse, but NOT from this story.... this was clearly set up as a radio story to which it more than succeeds in telling a kick butt story, but I work in multimedia production and what works in one form does not usually translate well to another. I can think of an example from when I was a kid back in the early 80's there was a radio sci fi done from some university of ray bradbury theater.... Here There Be Tigers was one of the most entertaining stories done I have ever absorbed, but years later, ray bradbury theater was done on television, and the TV version of the same exact story was TERRIBLE. I quit watching the show after seeing how bad it was compared to the radio rendition. What we have here is pure creative magic, and I shudder to think how it could become painfully unbearable if translated to another media format.

This story is wonderfully and creatively done in audio format, not visual. There's no reason to ruin it.
