 		I could imagine that the tower will be very important later on. Or else it wouldn't be so heavily hinted at.

Since it appears very early in the "scouting for filmset" footage where Slendy appears on the set (IIRC), and Jay later finds a tape there, it has to be some important place.

 		Since he Twittered the link to the Entry, it's pretty much confirmed that he did.

I think he said that he stopped somwhere where he had access to the internet, and his laptop was with him in the car.

I think he's referring to Entry #5. I've seen a lot of people claim to see the Operator standing next to a tree to the left of the tower, but I've never been able to see him there.
