[OT] Hidden Mickeys in Tron Legacy Howdy, all. Figured I'd start a separate thread just to track real or potential hidden Mickey's in the movie.
I think I noticed one last night in the dinner scene (click to get a large version):
What do you think?

I'm hoping that there ARE hidden mickeys in the movie, but I think you are looking WAY too hard. I think that fruit arrangement is entirely coincidental, and if it's not, there will be a total free-for-all in "mickeys" in the movie... I also wonder if the 89 symbols throughout the movie were intended to be "hidden mickeys" or not...

I just rewatched it, again, last night and didn't see anything, but I'll try again (paying particular attention to the solar sailer scene).
I think they have to be fairly distinct, as well. Otherwise any differently-lit group of 3 adjoining hexagons on the grid would count. I also think the layout of the 89 forever logo pays homage to Disney, but isn't a hidden Mickey. Hopefully, they'll be as distinct as the big one in the original movie was and that once you see them, you'll never be able not to see them.

According to IMDB:
Quote:
Hidden Mickey Mouse: the security camera Sam Flynn takes out in the Encom building has a striking resemblance to the infamous Disney mascot
I didn't notice it myself, but I have yet to re-watch the film since reading this.

Who's editing IMDb these days? Do people even understand the word 'infamous' anymore?

That's...just...wrong .
Of course, that's how I feel Disney views the relationship with the general public and the desire to get money out of the public's wallets...

Being a Hidden Mickey lover I didn't see any overt Mickeys in Legacy. There were a few "Ehh" possibilities, but in my book three round objects touching does not a real Hidden Mickey make. The circles have to be of a certain ratio to one another and placement to really make the cut.

There's the obvious 89 sticker on the back of Sam's helmet.

Personally, I think the hidden Mickey is in the fireworks just after Sam finds out CLU isn't his dad. At 38:50 a burst of fireworks starts in the upper left of the screen, the first two (plus a secondary burst fromone of them) form the main face and smile, two for the ears, and a fifth for the nose. The whole image takes around 9 seconds to form and dissipate.
