I dont know about other people on this forum, but for me the tiniest thing about the 22 minutes (even unintentionally reffering to it) reveals a lot to me. Sorry to rant mate, but it's for the people who rather not know, thanks.

You know, for a site thats devoted to finding out EVERYTHING about a movie you sure want to keep your head buried in the sand. I first noticed that leak on IMDB and did I say, "OMG I now know too much about this movie!"? No I embraced the facts and tried to use them to further our discussion. It's not like this information was hard to find either. On the footage @ s8's editing room, it talks about the cubes and THEIR biological attributes so Interplanetarian is correct.

I don't see what all the fuss is about either. They clearly say "cubeS" in the film. I've been told all about the Cinema Con footage, and still don't feel like anything has been "spoiled."
The only true secret left is what "Cooper" looks like. Oops, is everyone going to call that a "spoiler" as well?!

Thanks Dave. You have NO idea how many PM's I've gotten regarding spoilers and trouts on this forum. Yet on MH's forum of which I also started following and posting stuff that has been trouted before only to have a link to the thread it was discussed on posted kindly linked for me. The search function DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK. I cite the link between the actor playing TROGL as I did a search here for his name before I posted and NOTHING came up. Today when I did the search 5 posts came back. So I want everyone to know that I do do searches before I post. But don't blame me if it has been discussed.
I have read EVERY post stickied to the top of the forum multiple times. The main Game Summary has not been updated with everything up to date either..
This forum is designed to HELP people, not bash them.

OK ... just let's be careful in the future... Use Spoilers if it is something that could be considered a Spoiler from the movie.

Lets respect others and their concerns and move on

I really understand both sides and feel this was well worthy of a Spoiler warning. Yes it was "discussed" but not given as a fact.

No it appears to be a fact and that fact can lessen the film for someone.

The closer we get to release and the Esp after the release in the states we will need to be careful, more and more careful.

LET'S JUST start from here forward and move on. If it is Info about the Movie that comes from seeing any of the film or internet reviews of someone who saw the film and not from clues presented in the ARG consider it a Spoiler, or a potential spoiler and treat it as such.

>> stepping down from the soap box at this time Embarassed

MOVING ON Very Happy

Look, i didnt mean anything harsh about my post, didn't mean anything personal by it. Just the 22 Minutes was not meant to be leaked, but some of the press did.
So i considered that something we were not meant to know. I know you made a mistake and forgot to add the spoiler tag. I dont think anyone was trying to bash you, i dont think i've ever found anyone on this forum being hostile to another. I think what Kraten said really says it all.

Ok, sorry guys. I'm passing a kidney stone and have to keep moving around. The pain is not fun whatsoever, so I apologize if I came off strong. I've taken 2 darvocets at the recommendation of my doc Laughing so I'm feeling pretty good right now.
But in all honesty, JJ cant go, "heres 22 mins of footage, please don't say anything." to a room full of media reporters and the like. Thats the same as bringing a bunch of people to a magic show, showing everyone how to do it, and tell them not to say anything. For all we know he did it on purpose knowing someone would eventually leak it.

ouch! Sorry to hear about the kidney stone problem.

What you say above could be true. Christopher Nolan is about the only person who can actually keep his stuff a secret.

But what I will say is that last night I pm'd one of the moderators about "pushing50's" post on the previous page. "pushing50" was a "guest" and guests don't always come here regularly, and guests can't edit their posts. The moderator determined what pushing 50 wrote as spoiler material and put the spoiler bar over his comment.

So regardless of differing opinions on what should or shouldn't be posted, just letting anyone who reads this know that the moderators of this board consider material from those 22minutes as spoiler material, and if posted need to have the spoiler bar over it.

Does not sound good dude, sorry to hear about that... No sorry needed
I too think that it may have been a bit wreckless of JJ's decision to show 22 Mins of Super 8. But one of the reporters on here did say at the start of the film that they were told not to say anything. But JJ must have known that it would get out somehow. My only guess is he needed to generate more hype, which it did.

Lets hope for another clip on s8editingroom today.... I mean come on, if we are meant to "collect them all" how are we going to do that when it's just over 2 months away Confused

Both Paramount and Bad Robot are up to their eyeballs in post production and advertising right now. Thor, Captain America, Super 8, Person of Interest, the new Star Trek and MI:4. But if we are to have 100 clips in the editing room, as of this post we have 5. And with roughly 63 days till release that would mean 1 to 2 clips a day minimum. Unless they plan on still holding off even after the release. Which might be good. They may leave us asking more questions. I'm hoping for a sequel already considering TROGL is still alive. (Assuming the chat between Josh and Mysterio is happening in real time)

It would actually be greats if the ARG did carry on after release, if only for a bit to clear up remaining questions. Have any others dont that before? (i.e. Cloverfield, Star Trek?)

P.S. @IThinkImMe Glad the pain is over and you're feeling better! Kidney stones=bad times!

Kidney Stones

Sorry that my theory on the movie scraps lead to a spoiler and chaos. And congratulations on the bladder rock. For a man that the equivalent of having a baby. Next time try some pyridium and toradol. The pyridium anesthetises the bladder and the toradol is a non narcotic pain reliever. Granted it's a shot, but when it kicks in it REALLY works on stone pain.

Reason for the advice? If you've had one stone you'll have another eventually. Sorry for the news....

So, could the beast/thing on the table be a predator?

Sometimes they do, but it's infrequent. Normally the ARG contractee has to start and complete the work in a specified time frame, which usually ends just before the major event (movie opening, etc). I was hoping that the Flynn Lives (Tron Legacy) ARG will continue now that there is a good shot of Tron 3 being made, but so far nothing. And, 42Entertainment is one of the best for doing ARGs.

And I also am glad that the kidney stone passed for ThinkImMe without surgery. Always a good thing to avoid the knife.

Thanks for all the well-wishes everyone.Hope you all are doing well. [OT]Let us give a moment of silence for everyone affected by the recent activity in Japan. There is a strong possibility that we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg as far as what will ultimately happen over there. I hope I'm wrong, but the evidence is suggesting otherwise.
