did i just lose? I feel like we lost! I mean, Coleman just walked out and we did nothing about it. The hints were plenty that the time was coming for us to shift from receiving the story to creating our own . . . but I didn't expect it to fall apart like that. I expected to be led to overcome false nonchalance. But I was hypnotized, stunned, and I would've had to do it on my own. Too late. Game over. I lose?
But the loose ends leave room for more stories. And there's plenty of hidden spaces, lunatics, and magic left around here if we want to tell them. I do - let's play...
(And as many others have said, we've won a kind of community out of this, a fragile one but with a shitload of promise if you ask me.)

Missed it Thanks for posting feedback on what happened at the seminar! I only just heard about the Jejune project on Friday, and rushed through it all at the weekend, only to find that I was approximately 2 years behind everyone else
But if any of you want to reminisce on the golden days, I wrote about the project:

See you at the next Nonchalance ARG..

Loved the recap Northern85.
I really wish I lived in SF now. I can't believe you just stumbled into the whole thing. You have some awesome friends.

Questions and more questions Unless we didn't fail...
So we used the Algorithm to attain Juvenescence, or whatever. We chose love over fear and peace over conflict.
::heart hug::
SO WHY, THEN, IS THE INSTITUTE STILL CLOSING?
(as I presume it still is)
Major gap in the storyline.

Really over? So they did mention that the office at Act I was closed as of last weekend, has anyone been down there to confirm? The trailhead website looks the same and I have some latecomer friends who were really excited about taking a look. I wonder if they have a chance this weekend?

It's closed. Jeff said he saw some people wanting to do it on sunday and told them "sorry guys. you had 3 years to do it. it's over now"
all the installations are still there. everything that doesn't need a person to run it or restock the supplies will stay in place but there won't be anyone doing constant maintenance on them anymore. the websites will stay up for a while (not sure how long) and the repository and its contents are evidently permanent and public.

plot gap Losing the game is the only way I can see to fill that plot gap: He simply got away. We weren't tight-lipped enough during the pre-screening; they saw through our plans with their giant crystals; mild-mannered Torry was locked up in the Vital Orbit; we were foiled.
Now, completely aware that we are united here in the SF Bay against false0=, he's packed up his roadshow, and moved on to places where he can sling his snake-oil once again.
Sure, we were hypnotized. Docile. Tame. But now we are awake! (Right?)
& Kulemann was maybe righter than he knew when he told us our old story is falling apart at the seams. We need a new one. The pieces are scattered to the winds. WE need to find them. WE need to tell it.

We weren't the only ones disappointed... Actually, I thought it ended well enough.
But this guy had a tough time with it:
