 		Everyone will probably hate this but...

it is possible that what you saw is what you were meant to see. They may have used camera tricks to make it look like slenderman, and a cleaned up video could show what they actually did instead of what you were intended to see.

I personally always have to pop my ears when I get in a car after everyone closes the doors because of the air pressure.

He slammed the door pretty hard, you would still hear a sound even with air pressure.

I think it was the audio on his camera peaking then giving out, but that takes something super loud to do on that kind of camera, so theres 2 things that could've happened:
1. Distortion
2. J's trunk door has amps hooked up to it.

I'm sure you can figure out which is more likely.

I just rewatched it and I just can't make my mind up if it's him or not.

I'm with you there, honestly. Even if it is legit distortion, it's too brief and doesn't fit anything else we've seen previously, so it's incredibly unlikely that it's the Operator.

EDIT: I should hasten to mention that I find the fact that it's legit distortion to be incredibly unlikely. I don't know a whole hell of a lot about cameras, but I find it likely that the microphone was automatically "tuned" to be more sensitive since the area was so quiet, and the sudden slamming of the trunk sort of overwhelmed the microphone. Make sense?

Yes, it does. That 'distortion' when the door to the trunk slams shut is entirely natural for an on-board mic on a handicam. The audio quality of those mics is abysmal compared to more professional microphones, and they can be super-sensitive when there are drastic dB level changes. It sounds to me like it's the audio peaking, to be honest, which isn't unnatural at all in this kind of situation.

Edit: Just of note, I have no interest whatsoever in debating over the identity of the figure at the window, and this isn't meant to prove or disprove anything about the figure. All I'm saying is this isn't audio distortion a la the Operator's normal effects on cameras - it's a totally normal occurrence for the type of equipment Troy uses.

 		My thoughts

1) If I was Jay, I would have yelled at the answering machine, you didn't tell me what TIME, idiot!

2) There's a possibility that this entry takes place the day before the previous entry(3Cool, which would mean that Rosswood Park is the place with the weird tieing people to trees origin story, and it is the same forest that was near Jay's hotel room.

3) In some of the earlier entries, Slender Man has appeared with less distortion than in other videos, so a lack of visual splitting shouldn't rule him out entirely. That said, the fact that there wasn't even a SINGLE instance of splitting makes me think otherwise; even when he appears in Alex's apartment in one of the entries, there is some splitting a few moments before he appears.

Also, if you argue that there WAS distortion in the video, it is not necessarily Slender Man, recall that Masky's appearance in Jay's bedroom came with plenty of distortion.

 		Gotta say, I believe that it's Slendy. When have the creators ever thrown us a bone that was less than obvious? I've seen many of this kind of debate, and in all the cases where the truth was revealed at one point or another, it was always the most obvious answer.

For example, when we were trying to figure out who Masky was, plenty of people were looking for subtle clues about who it was other than Tim, even when most things pointed to the fact that it was Tim after all. And not long ago this was confirmed. So, while the creators may be fucking with us, I'd say statistically speaking, it's far more likely that they're not, and I'm going to go with the obvious, "It's Slendy," argument.

On a different note, there needs to be a spinoff series detailing the seven missing months. It'll be called "Alex and J: Slenderhunters!"

And anyway, all we saw him do was peek in the window, seemingly out of curiosity, then walk away. Just like he walked past J in Return. Not quite stalking to the extent that Alex was being stalked.

Troy and Joseph have said oog that they know the videos are analyzed frame by frame, so I'm sure they were expecting us to pick this apart to see if it really was The Operator or not. I'm sure from an oog standpoint, if they wanted us to be certain that it really was The Operator, they would have made it more obvious.
