Nice find scoutpost, i guess a lot of clips are out there just waiting to be unlocked. It would be nice if we could guess the codes?
Maybe then we could unlock them ourselves without having to wait

Maybe thats the key to "collecting them all"

I left a comment on the io9 blog asking if there were any codes or numbers, but who knows if I'll get an answer. Maybe if we can get a few, we can figure out a pattern (?)

And, as for the find, I have to give credit to my buddy Paul who saw the io9 blog about the same time I saw the super8movie tweet.

Thanks for sharing Scoutpost.

I wonder if people are being instructed to release them on a specific day or this is genuinely random.

Comingsoon.net just received the next clip:

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=76506

no dialogue, just men working on computers in computer room. Looks like some kind of camera or projector on the counter next to the guy in the foreground.

Code from the box: 8586:AF

Again I must give credit to my friend Paul who tweeted me the link to ComingSoon.net

Yep, I was pretty sure that this black and white footage was 16mm. The trailer has a couple of shots in it with the projector and film. I'm pretty sure now that the kids find the black and white footage, and the projector to play it on, as well as a cube in the wreckage. The last scene of the trailer is the kids being amazed be what the footage reveals. So I wonder at this point, is the piece of film that Josh wanted verified a chuck of this footage? Or a piece of the 8mm footage from Charles' camera that captured a glimpse of the alien whatsit? I'm leaning toward the black and white footage, which begs the question: How did Josh get the footage? The kids nicked the footage from the train, Minker Sr. nicked it from the kids and somehow got it to Evelyn, where she put it away and Josh found it when she passed away in some of her old stuff?

On a side note: I forgot in my earlier post about Argus, I'm thinking 3 nuclear test explosions, 3 dots icon. I've been keeping an eye out for the three dots in the Argus related stuff we have found.

[EDIT]:
The projector and the 16mm film reels are at 1:47 and 1:49 on the trailer, respectively.
It also occurs to me that perhaps Charles' parents own the electronics store located on main street Lillian, which gives Charles access to cameras, projectors, and sound equipment. There does seem to be 2 8mm cameras involved, so after wrecking the first one by dropping it at the train station wreck, he grabs a second one from Dad's electronics store. The store front even says: 'SERVICE AND RENTALS'.

We'll find out as soon as it loads to the editing room. Shouldn't take too long.

It didn't appear for me until today. But is there a chance that the codes some people guessed on and sent actually unlocked that clip?
