To keep things on topic: when was the last time Jay anticipated a totheark response on Twitter? Or was this the first time he'd actually mentioned expecting a response?

I don't usually bitch about stuff being alternate reality breaking, but it really pisses me off how whenever there is a TTA response, Jay tweets about anticipating it now. In S1 it was a surprise to everyone, like "Oh snap! New TTA video!" now in S2 it's basically "Waiting for TTA Response" and then a week later "Oh, here's the video I predicted, because I'm a psychic."

 		To be fair there were a couple of times in season 1 where he did say he expected a response from totheark. Also, Fragments and Sidetone were both posted by totheark without a corresponding prediction tweet by J. So far J has only said "Waiting for a totheark response" once this season not counting this most recent one, and that was because he and Alex had unmasked the man J suspects is totheark. Basically there's always been an in game reason why J would say "Waiting for a response from totheark".

And this time Jay wants some sort of explanation as to what happened in the last few entries. Totheark responses usually have some sort of message in them and the next one will probably give Jay some info on what he was doing in the tapes.

I think this COULD be Jay trusting Tim more than Alex, assuming he's TTA. It's not a definite thing though.

But it does make sense in context. They've been going back and forth long enough for him to anticipate the response ahead of time.

^ This. How many times does someone have to reply to your videos before you start anticipating they will continue to do so? Jay can be a little derpy at times, but he's not that bad.

TTA has made it clear in the past that he has access to J, filming him coughing on the floor and having corresponding footage to some of the entries and the like. It's possible J isn't looking for TTA to clear anything up with a response so much as he's fishing for any more tapes of himself during the seven missing months. You never know what might be out there.

 		True, but if it were something that could aid J it's doubtful that totheark would post it. I still think totheark is an antagonist, and I'm not really sure why everyone is starting to speculate that Alex is the bad guy.
