When's Trial 6. Its going to be Easter very soon and I thought thats when the big finale will happen?

You are correct, but remember that time and space have fled every which way, disregarding our precious logic. We're pretty sure that the big finale will be on Easter, but it won't be announced until some time in May or possibly June. Only people who can figure out how to dance outside linearity will be able to participate.

The big finale of the trials, maybe.

I'm not expecting EMH to end in the next two or three months.

Yeah thats what I ment the end of the Trials. Sorry for the confusion. I hope EMH dosn't end till August (Before my first year of high school starts, I will probably be very busy by then.). Smile

Who said it was supposed to end on Easter?

No one, really. Some HYBRIDS speculated that it would make sense since Easter is all about rabbits, and with the possible nod toward reincarnation ("How many lives have you lived and spent?") tied to the ressurection. There won't be enough time for the trials to end by Sunday... maybe trial 6?
HABIT really has been quiet for a while. As it is, we've been waiting, what, 2-3 months for FRA to receive his trial 4 prize.

Easter has a lot of symbology behind it, but if their university is anything like mine Easter falls right before finals week. So for OOG reasons, I'm not really anticipating a game-changing moment or anything. I think that will come this summer.

I am anticipating a good, creepy development that hopefully involves HABIT. It's perfect timing and I'd be disappointed if he didn't make an appearance. Rabbits and fertility and crucifixion and resurrection and HABIT on top of all that....

Hey guys I'm trying to work out this theory I have. What if theres some kind of "good" HABIT. Kinda of like a "God and Satan" concept. HABIT did say he was humanity's bad habit and causes chaos. What if he has a oppasoite thats brings order to the world and is trying to help the guys somehow. What to you guys think?

I proposed this already. It's most likely wrong, though, because there shouldn't be supernatural forces of good in this genre. What I believe to be closer to the truth is that Habit himself is trying to help the guys for his own mysterious purposes.

Been awhile, but I've got a couple things I've been thinking, mostly due to whatever gave me mad EMH dreams three nights in a row last week (perhaps what I had for dinner).
- First, Corenthal as HABIT. I don't think he is HABIT, but maybe HABIT used him to survive whatever happened to Fairmount Evan.
- Something that's been pulling at my heartstrings: HABIT improved with Corenthal's help. I haven't been able to stop thinking HABIT ended up caring about the others in some small measure at least. Rewatching the Sleep Lab, when Jeff and Vinnie go to mess with Evan, they find him reading CANYOUSEETHEWORDS. It doesn't take much to rewatch that and assume that's HABIT who turns around... I just can't help taking it one step farther and thinking it remains HABIT for the rest of that bit. DOUBTFUL but it illustrates why I dislike this idea of HABIT caring about the others at all.
- While noticing I have the same carpet as in that hidden video clip of the hand clawing at the floor (don't ask why I was contemplating my carpet), I noticed that the Carpet of Death room is the same one where they all watch the hidden videos in the vid of the same name. When Evan wakes Steph up, notice her hands. When the camera is on the floor even, her hand is more relaxed, but almost framed TOO pointedly.

I know there was other stuff but this is all the result of going just a little stircrazy, so it's probably all shit anyways. In other news, five days to Easter...? I don't usually like to assign importance to this sort of thing, but in this case I'm incapable of ignoring it.

the "HPL:COR,JAM1984/2005" bit intrigues me.

Is it an interval of time, 1984-2005? The kids succumbed in '81. The space between is 21 years. In 2005 Jeff, at least, would've been...14? 15?

Edited because I cannot do math.

It's the abbreviation of a dossier - HPL: Corenthal, James, 1984-2005. A period in an institution?

In reference to "HPL:COR,JAM1984/2005". The "COR,JAM1984/2005" seems to obviously be short for "Corenthal, James 1984/2005". I'm not sure what the "HPL" would stand for, though.

I never noticed the thing about Steph's hand. Most likely because the original video with the Carpet of Death Room scared the living shit out of me for some reason, and so I never want to think about it.

As to HABIT improving under Corenthal's treatment, I don't think he did. I still see HABIT as a fully malicious entity, and I don't think Corenthal ever helped him. I think Corenthal helped Fairmount Evan, which allowed him to repress, if not completely control, HABIT. Then, obviously, the shit hit the fan.

A list I found here, lists HPL as meaning anything:

HPL Hewlett Packard Laboratories
HPL High Pressure Laminate
hPL Human Placental Lactogen
HPL Hamilton Public Library (Ontario, Canada)
HPL Horn Point Laboratory
HPL High Performance Leadership (Toastmasters Program)
HPL Human Performance Laboratory
HPL Hyperlipidemia
HPL Human Pancreatic Lipase
HPL High-Level Programming Language
HPL Hindustan Prefab Limited (India)
HPL Horizontal Protection Limit
HPL Hackley Public Library (Muskegon, MI, USA)
HPL Howard Philip Lovecraft (writer)
HPL High Priority List
HPL Home-Phone LAN
HPL Hekemian Programming Language
HPL High Performance Lane (bowling)
HPL Hotels Properties Limited

I'll dig around some more and see if I can't find some official meaning in conjunction with psychiatry or Ohio.

High Priority List makes sense if Corenthal was a patient or staff at some institution, but it gives us nothing, and I think we need something to move forward.

There is also Hopewell Public Library in Hopewell, New Jersey, just northwest of Princeton.

Also HPL could stand for hospital.
