Has anybody else noticed that this series' Slenderman appears to be particularly attracted to (possibly create/instill?) strong negative emotions, moreso than other series? Usually, when Slenderman shows up in others, people get scared and run, but here, he seems to have a real effect on the emotional state of the characters even when they're unaware he's there.

Well I had always fancied slendy targetting his victims like a poltergiest, strong emotions draw him in. But MLandersen is the omly one that reflects that.

I think it's interesting how Eric talks about how he's been warned off contact with Michael. When did that happen? Did Slendy himself say "Bitch, stay away from my man!" or has someone else gotten involved?

Either way, I found the bit where Eric was talking about how he wasn't really allowed to be there spookier than the actual Slendy appearance.

Seconded on that last bit. It's a mindfuck of a series.

The only other person that might be involved is Shaun. Since his whole thing is to get Michael to stop thinking about Slenderman, I don't see how ejecting a reasonably sane and tenacious acquaintance from Michael's life would work towards that.... assuming Shaun is telling the truth. As much as I doubt that, I'm still not seeing who else benefits from isolating Michael.

Eric says that it was made clear to him that he should stay away from Michael. Eric was missing for quite a while after the incident in the alley (and I personally think he's lying about how much he remembers from that night, but eh). Slendy doesn't need to use words to make things clear to people. His actions speak for themselves. Maybe Eric was trying to contact Michael for some time now and couldn't for whatever reason.

Now watch as a new video comes out that changes EVERYTHING

Shaun and Eric were both mysteriously prevented from contacting Michael. Shaun tried to send a video, and his message was subverted. Eric went in person, and got accosted by Slenderman. Mysteries are adding up here...

It seems to me that this Slenderman is especially concerned with isolating his victims by any means possible. He both becomes aggressive when Michael has other people around (most encounters with Eric so far) AND makes Michael seem batshit crazy, making others want to steer clear of him. Going with the idea that Slendy feeds off negative emotions, your fear/desperation/insanity/etc would go off the charts in a situation like this once your friends and family are taken away.

Just watched all the videos + read the entire thread.

I'm kind of in love with this story and everything. The different approach on slendy, the characters, the acting...

Also, I feel like I should mention the eye candy *drools*

You're definitely not the only one. (:

One thing I noticed in the newest vid, is that Michael was in a trance when slim was standing next to him on the mezzanine for the upper floor before he snapped out of it and warned Eric of what was next to him.

I wonder if the trances are going to be the hint for future occurences of Red or Black tie versions of slim. Anybody with sharper eyes able to notice if the mezzanine slim was wearing a black tie or not?

*That balcony they were on isn't technically 100% a mezzanine, I apologize, I'm just not sure of what to call it.

Decent series is decent. The situation reminds me a little of Freddy vs Jason, with the dude being locked away to keep him from "contaminating" others with his knowledge of the monster. I'm also reminded of what "Damsel" used to say about how mentioning his name gives him power(?).

Interesting to see if the situation brings them together like the HYBRID crew or tears them apart (which it seems to be doing).

Tears them apart...

Tearing x apart...

Tearing me apart.

Michael Andersen is Tommy Wiseau.
