something i noticed while listening to everything again... (but it was in this_voice)

"Something almost killed me Jersey. I need to figure out who my enemy is before I walk into a room with my hands up."

so yeah, where am i going with this? I kind of forgot, buti do remember that i was going to state the obvious: melissa needs to know dana's not her enemy. maybe the only way to do that is to get in touch with durga (through the flea and flea speak):

!behold: dana
!reveal: dana>!label friend

etc. (something along those lines, y'all are the ones that speak this language fluently...)

just something to think about, i appologize if this has been mentioned...

People have been trying to make Melissa think Dana's a friend. It hasn't worked - she doesn't listen to reason, and wants Dana dead, dead, dead.

So lets give that to her. We don't have to kill Dana, or hand her over. We need to make Melissa think she's already dead.

Here is what I propose:

Someone contact the sleeping princess. Preferably someone she knows, or I'd do it myself. Explain the situation, and Ask her to try to get the flea to

seeker > !attach master-sector
seeker > !attach sec proc Dana
Dana > !evade master-sector

Hopefully, he can do that. If so, then we've got a problem, in that Melissa now will, no doubt, be wondering why she's suddenly lost all track of Dana.

So, someone who gets an Axon spike reports they've killed the assasin. That makes melissa stop wondering why Dana has dissappeared, and should stop her from searching for her in the future. Not to mention the answering crewmember should get about 2000 melissa loyalty bonus points.

I was under the impression the entire point of playing an ARG was to submerse yourself in an alternate reality where there are no PMs. Did I misunderstand?

Hello fellow beekeepers! This is my first time actually posting to this forum, but I've been following the game since August.

Now that the formalities have been taken care of, I'd like to offer some [SPEC]. *feel free to trout me, if it is deemed necessary*

Maybe by the Axon hunters trying to dirctly tell Mellisa that Dana isn't a threat isn't the right approach. What if one of Melissa's "trusted" crew members we're to convince Mellissa (in a not so subtle way) that her primary mission of reavealing the truth is of more precidence than tracking down Dana. One of those crew members could actually offer to track her down on Melissa's behalf (we'll never ACTUALLY do it, but Melissa doesn't have to know that.).

This is how I figure it would work...Melissa is (as we all know) a military AI construct. If we can appeal to what would be most important to her (i.e. the primary mission), then we have a chance to at the very least buy Dana some time to slip away from melissa's grasp.

I don't know if it will work, but i think it's something worth putting a little thought into.

So something like:

"What is your primary mission, Melissa?"
"To seek, behold and reveal the truth"
"And how does hunting Dana further that mission?"
"....I have a confidence threshold warning of 0. *click*"

Well....maybe not so....blatent. Confused

I was thinking more along the lines of:

"I, along with some of your other trusted crew members, would like to assist you in tracking down Dana so you will have more time to focus on your primary mission..."

And I guess if that doesn't work we could be like:

"Listen bitch! Lay off my woman, Dana! I outa mess you up!!!! BIOTCH!!!" Wink

Out of interest, if we're her crew, and she's trusting us to help her to repair herself, why hasn't someone asked her what she feels is wrong with her?

I mean, step 1 of any repair process is diagnosis.

Good thought, although I would imagine that she would be in too much of disrepair that she might not even know (specificly) what is wrong with her. After all isn't the Pious Flea the one that is supposed to repair Melissa?

The SPDR program began repairing the Operator upon crashing onto ILB. Once the Operator was awake, the Pious Flea convinced Melissa that the SPDR was bad. Thus, Melissa squashed the SPDR. At no point has the Flea ever tried to actually heal anything. Rather, it has corrupted Melissa and replaced her primary mission with it's own.

Another way we might be able to save Dana is by misdirecting Melissa's attempts to find her. We know that Melissa controls Dana's e-mail and voicemail, so if enough people give away Dana's "exact location," we should be able to distract the vengeful AI.

To further this goal, I just sent a message to danatwingSPLATgmail.com, expressing surprise that Dana was back in the States. Specifically, Boston.

Anyone want to supply Melissa with corroborating data points?

Well, misdirecting her is a possibility I suppose. Only problem is that Melissa has an awful lot of access out there, and she doesn't trust her crew to be purely honest anymore. She'll look of corroboration, and I don't think she'll find it. Even if we could get everyone here to go along, there's bound to be non-beekeepers who'll give the game away.

I really do think we'd have to blind her, but at this point, it may be moot to ask the princess. Melissa's been talking in SP's voice in recent calls, and AFAIK, no one's heard from the princess since the last update to contactme, where she made it seem like she might let the flea !attach to her if he transmitted. He did his part, no one's heard from her since, and Melissa has been oscillating back and forth into her voice. I think the princess may have been captured again, and this time, didn't get off a signal.

I got the impression from some of the info embedded in killer.jpg that the princess already is helping Dana.

I found this in killer.jpg (08/October/2004)
Quote:
Question:

Something bad will happen.

Answers:

If the recipient is Dana,

Please don't be freaked out

The Widow the Queen are trying to keep me in very bad shape as well
I can sympathize with you

I believe I can help you out, I can apply a construct to protect your

core

Please! Please! Please!
Try not to worry) too much.

Keep your head up girl :)

love,
(more garbage)

The "love," seems to be the princess' style.

(Please forgive if this is the wrong place to bring this up but I guess I'm new to bee keeping!)
